•   Kaiyo has a rather rotten relationship with his parents, due to the meticulous experimenting his mother had did and the extensive training his father put him through. While he completely hates his mother due to her uncaring and almost notorious nature he still is somewhat civil with his father since their divorce. However Kaiyo had lived in apartment on his own based on a agreement him and his father had, however currently he is in the dorms. personally he doesn't mind it since it's more reason for him not to see his parents. 
• Occasionally his cousin Taiichi spends the night at his place, he's really the only Kaiyo will admit he enjoys having around him nor will be a jerk to.
• due to his rough nature he doesn't have many friends, however he can't say he's too bothered to care about it.  
•  He has a minor love for model building kits, especially ones for robots from animes he likes. He has a huge collection of them!
•  During a villain attack Kaiyo was forced to over use his quirk to protect his friend and others... however he lost his arm while doing it. This causes problems for him later even when it's replaced with a prosthetic from his Father's company. however through it has improved his relationship with his dad.
