Arc 1

Serpent had been born on the Water's Edge, a forlorn coastal range with jagged rocks and cliffs. Ships didn't dare travel this stretch of ocean due to the pair of dragons that fiercly protected the area as well as the dangerous rocks that many a ship had perished on. This was home, what was suppose to be safety. It all changed when her parents were murdered by a band of Pirates who wanted to make a name for themself and a name they sure made. The Scarlet Serpents, a pirate gang known for their brutality and cunning, snuck into the home of these Coastal dragons and slaughtered them, stealing their child away in the early morning hours. Serpent, as she got use to being called, was their prized trophy from that day. They caged her to show her off. Beat her into obiedience. She became their champion in the pits and even the Black Naga, the gang that ruled the ocean and oversaw the Black Markets of Belem understood the power the group held. As she got older however, she craved freedom from the chains. A coup was planned by one of the underlings, a few of the pirates made a deal with the dragon which she eagerly agreed too. It wasn't long before the Captain of the Scarlet Serpents fell to his prized trophy, and much to the dismay of the crew, the beast they held captive for so long now rose to power. Serpent slaughtered all who opposed her and the few that remained swore to be loyal. It took awhile for her to gain trust in the humans that decided to follow her, but soon she realized they were as used and outcast as she was. She brought in more like them and slowly she built a crew, a family that she loved and cared for. They became the new threat on the sea, stealing and killing their way to power.

Arc 2

At the height of their power, the ship known as The Leviathan, that Serpent ran fiercly with her crew, was ambushed. Serpent was betrayed by one of her closest friends to the Black Naga and the dragon had to watch as her family was ripped from her again. Her crew slaughtered and her chained and caged all over again, she stewed in her guilt and anger. She was brought back to the pits where at first she slaughtered all that were thrown at her until she finally decided to give up. She was going to allow herself to die one fateful day but the world had other plans.

Avitus swooped down on the Market, and they were poorly prepared from an attack via the skies. The beast slaughtered and burned all in its path yet took pity on the pile of the once great Pirate Queen, Serpent. He took her under his wing and got her to safety. With her crew gone and the injuries she had sustained during her capture, Serpent had no choice but to follow her so called Savior. She learned much later after much abuse and death later that the dragon who saved her and pretended to be her friend was just that, a fruad. She threatened him to bend the knee to her will, and when he refused and maimed her, she slaughtered him. Quickly she rose to power as the new queen of the East with the High Priest right at her side. She became cruel and cold, much different from her past younger self. It wasnt until she realized what she was becoming due to the intervention of a friend and the destruction of the world at the hands of the High Priest that she decided to take matters back into her hands and in a fury of lightning, sacrificed herself to stop the destruction.

Arc 3

Many years later as the world healed from the rage of the Serpent and the chaos she had brought down on the world, a new pirate gang began to take power over the seas led by a half-blind Captain. The crew was good at their work and the Captain kind and joyful. Though something seems ever so slightly off by the captain. She introduces herself as Adiris and many who meet her come to love her.

Though chaos and mutiny not far behind, the crew befriends a fallen Knight who comes to care for the Captain greatly. He finds later that she is the Serpent of the sea herself and has yet to realize exactly what that means of her survival.
