History
Laurel works as the animal caretaker for the mythical beasts on the library/school's grounds. He often goes traveling/on hunting trips with Rikka and Kouyou to help them stay safe in the woods. The foxes, particularly Rikka, often pester him into visiting their shrine to give him a meal after a trip.
His personal pet is a cockatrice, this one is a satin bower bird variety. It loves to bring him blue gifts in exchange for food. Laurel has tried to show it that it doesn't need to bring him gifts to be fed, but the cockatrice insists.
