About
Your Majesty was born to a wealthy Baroness in the city of Amn, though few people were aware of this. He was the result of an affair his mother had with a tiefling, and due to his infernal heritage could not be presented as his mother's biological child. At first he was sent to live with his biological father, but when this arrangement fell through, he found himself back with his mother under the guise of adoption. His mother raised him as female despite his early insistence to the contrary.
He grew up with an interest in investigative work and had begun pursuing a career as a detective in his teenage years. This eventually led to the undoing of his home-life when he uncovered the truth of his lineage. Furious with his mother, he disowned her and his previous identity. His adoptive father set him up with a sizeable trust fund to live far away from the family and ease his mother's burden, which he used to seek out his biological father. While they were able to form a connection (with his father giving him his new name, Your Majesty), he still felt like he needed to find himself on his own.
After he struck out on his own he abandoned his dreams of detective work and instead used his charisma and ability to read people to work as a therapist, a career that he learned to love. Having found the confines of higher society to be too much, he opted for a simpler life in a small town far away.
When Majesty arrived to live in West End he very quickly gained the affection of many of the townspeople, but just as quickly ran afoul of the Captain of the Guard, Atlas, who didn't appreciate his uncanny ability to read his emotions and thoughts. After a painstaking few months he warmed up to him enough that he hired Majesty on as his therapist, working with him on anger management issues that had broken up his previous marriage.

Majesty's relationship with Atlas was on the verge of becoming something more personal before the disappearances began happening around town, which Atlas connected to Majesty's seemingly random residency in a back-water town. Majesty attempted to help the new Lieutenant in the investigation with his divination, but instead led to a grisly discovery that only further served to cement Atlas's mistrust of him. While he never was able to charge Majesty with wrongdoing, the comradery between them was effectively destroyed. The two remained in an uncertain, hostile relationship that could lean romantic or antagonistic depending on the day. Majesty continued his work as a therapist in town, remaining friends with many of the other Guard staff.
dimension B
After a cave-in at the abandoned mine brought forth a god formed from the wreckage of an old being buried under the mountain, the entire town was plunged into a mirror dimension that moved separately from the main one. Atlas is charged with looking into the strange happenings around town, such as the local woman Sefina insisting her husband - that no one remembers - had been killed by a monster from under the ground. Atlas sought the help of Majesty in his investigation, and working closely in this way led to their relationship moving from a professional one to a romantic one. Once they discovered the existence of the newborn god, they joined the small handful of people who were aware of the pocket dimension situation they were stuck in and made efforts to keep things running smoothly - which meant finding sacrifices to the newborn god to keep the dimension alive. Atlas and Majesty married in a quiet, private ceremony, but remain openly affectionate in public (though more on Majesty's end). They began to butt heads on the morality of sacrificing others to continue their own existences, until they finally decided to join the PCs to take down their god and let the dimension disappear. Once they confront the god, however, Majesty is the first to die.
POST-CAMPAIGN
Following the dissolution of the mirror dimension, Atlas and Majesty of the main timeline gained bits and pieces of their alternate dimension counterparts' memories. They agreed to start over, putting aside the experiences they'd had in both dimensions and move forward with a clean slate. They are able to find a life together and eventually adopt a son and have another son of their own.
Relationships
Atlas [ rival / husband ]
In the main dimension, Atlas and Majesty do not get along - though not for lack of trying on Majesty's end. The various flashes he will get from his other-dimensional counterpart don't help him get over the feelings he harbors for Atlas. In the other dimension, the two are extremely close and rely on each other for strength in the uncertain circumstances they find themselves in.
Sgt. Hodges [ friend ]
Perry is one of Majesty's closest friends in the town of West End. The young man is constantly amazed by Majesty's ability to read other beings' intent and deceit, something he hopes to hone in his own rise in the Guard's ranks. Atlas does not approve of their friendship, so oftentimes their meetings are reduced to Perry's days off. In the other dimension, Perry is killed in a blaze that Majesty had a hand in orchestrating, and he carries the guilt of this always.
Lt. Hodges [ friend / patient ]
Majesty gets along well with Harriet in both dimensions, though his interaction with her is minimal in the main one. In the other dimension he acts as a therapist to her once her brother is killed, not knowing that Majesty has some part in it.
Roland [ adopted son ]
Roland was a wayward teen who ran with a rough crowd in West End and often ran afoul of the Guard. As a result Majesty learned about his troubled past and reached out to help him through the issues that he himself had grown up dealing with. Even after Roland betrayed their trust, Majesty fought to keep Roland safe and as a result earned the boy's respect. After mentoring Roland, Majesty came around to the idea of being a father, and accepted Roland into his family shortly before Ignacio was born.
Ignacio [ son ]
Child between Atlas and Majesty. Takes after Atlas in personality and is extremely nonverbal, sometimes communicating through sign language as a kid. Quiet, hard to read, and surly, he's still very close to his fathers. In the pocket dimension Majesty and Atlas were attempting to conceive a child, but after the Merge Majesty was uncertain about being a father. His mentorship and later adoption of Roland helped him come to terms with the idea, and he and Atlas welcomed Ignacio into their lives.
