Esme grew up in Azmarin, and was adopted by two loving fathers with a love for having fun. She grew up in an exciting household, coming home to nerf gun wars after school and practical jokes. Though she took most after her shy father, the two shared a secret mischievousness that rivaled her other father's more abrasive and forthright tactics; always outwitting him when it came to more tactical pranks. Growing up in such a dynamic environment made Esme a quiet force to be reckoned with, always shocking those around her that became close to her with her more secretive, yet daring nature. When she was old enough to enroll in school, she was quite the outcast, sticking to herself and watching those around her, until she met Joelle and Plumeria. The duo was playing on the playground when they saw Esme sitting alone, so they immediately grabbed her by the hand and invited her to play. Ever since that day the three of them became inseparable. They stuck together throughout their high school years, pulling pranks on the popular girls and snickering from the back of the class when they went to plan, while Plumeria tried to keep them out of trouble as best she could. Esme, being the more quiet one, was never suspected, though she had always been the brains of the operation- always daring the rowdy Joelle to do the most heinous of things to get a rise out of everyone around them.

The three of them all applied to Acadia University their senior year, and were accepted into their respective programs, the three of them excited to take the next step of their lives together. They all got an apartment together, and spend a lot of their time making bad choices and playing murder mysteries during the weekends. Now that they are closer to the amusement park, they also frequent there every Friday night, screwing around with the carnies and playing all the games they can before the park closes. Esme loves her nights at the amusement park with her friends, but despises when her friends pressure her into going into the haunted house rides and rollercoasters. But she really can't complain- she's always the one who ends up getting the other two in trouble with her enabling! When the girls aren't feeling the parks, Acadia is known for their wild parties, so when it comes down to it they head over to Shenzi's to have her style their hair and pick out cute and spicy outfits for them to wear on their night out. With Shenzi, their best friend group is a complete ball of chaos, the little posse always causing a ruckus wherever they go.
