At 6'1, and often wearing boots with a high heel, with expensive, well tailored clothing to match, Elevar should be intimidating. A highly gifted mage, and sole heir to a lesser but nonetheless renowned barony, with close ties to scholars and arcane archaeologists of high esteem should grant him great prestige by association. Few meeting him think of him as either of those things. Long limbed, with delicate, angular facial features--heavyset, and notably pear shaped--the young elf comes across as... soft, and needing protection. His eccentricities and tendency to lose himself for hours or days in projects are endearing or infuriating, depending on who is asked, and despite all of his arcane power, he spends far more time dedicating himself to alchemy, inscription, or artificing than he does throwing fireballs.

When comfortable around those he knows and in his element, Elevar can be quite loquacious and loudly spoken. Removed from a place he feels in control, and surrounded by strangers, he quickly becomes withdrawn and anxious. He doubts himself, persistently overcompensates, and often finds himself offering wild suggestions that, while they work, make little sense to anyone around him, requiring trains of thought that no one can follow.
The recent emergence of his fey bloodline--birch nymph--has raised additional questions for house Ongluth, and new complications for young Elevar, as the sorcerous bloodline twists and pulls at the spellscar inflicted on him in his youth, and pulls him in to capricious manias. Ordinarily cautious, the young man now finds himself flung headlong in to flights of fancy and strong surges of emotion; wary self consciousness and discretion contrasts harshly against a backlight of mercurial pride and startling flashes of newfound insight.

Elevar Ongluth was the character's original incarnation. The heir to (and only child of) a minor barony, (most notable for their vineyard and horticultural projects,) he is polite, if tightly formal, and gregarious if a bit poorly socially adjusted. He was created as a Universalist wizard in 3.5, and as the game transitioned to Pathfinder, gained a (fey) sorcerer dip, and eventually prestiged to (3.5 version) Loremaster. He has a white raven familiar named Ruathimaer, who herself has class levels as a rogue, and a one level cleric dip, prestiged to Shadowdancer. (Thank Olidammara for that one.) He also has a horse named Adofhaer, who is a black shire with a blaze and white feathers. He delights in creating weird bits of artifice, and seems to create scrolls "just in case" as a stress response.
