Profile

A dryad graduate student and EVO arcane research intern based out of Snohomish.

Elric Ongluth, known in his interactions amongst the shadows as "Mr. Birch", is the only son of Llewellyn and Theresa Ongluth. A sickly child from birth, it was only after extensive testing that he was determined to be a dryad, and that pollution from living in downtown Seattle was to blame for his myriad illnesses. They promptly sold their townhouse, had new construction rushed on their winery's property in Snohomish, and moved there with their son. Decidedly healthier as an adult, he works as a sommelier at his family's gastropub and café, and is a grad student and EVO arcane research intern. In his free time he enjoys foraging, and has a massive collection of terrariums, and many, MANY pet bugs. He particularly likes pretty roach species, like Pseudoglomeris magnifica. This version of him is considerably more socially adjusted, and his sense of humor tends to oscillate between ironic grandiose statements and self-deprecation, often in the same span of breath. That tends to come with having at least five near death experiences before you become a teenager!

He is trans-masc, and seems to have waited eagerly to pass so that he could then dress as effeminately as possible. Layers are an absolute requirement, and unlike his D&D counterpart, he's willing to forgo some comfort for style! He'll dress practically when out in the field, but still favors jewel tones and warm metallics like copper and gold. On outings he dresses to impress, though slapping a nice jacket over an embroidered lingerie body suit with high waisted trousers is fair game, too. He still grows flora as a quirk of his SURGE. Pomegranate blossoms and birch catkins are the default, but tea roses and other common garden plants are fair game. (As are any wildflowers native to Washington!) His teeth are a bit crooked in a way that makes his canines eerily prominent when he grins. He does use a walking cane on bad days, and has quite the collection. He favors bird motifs, natural wood gnarls, green stain, and decorative inlay. Think elegant and heavily ornamental in a way that is definitely maximalist, but not gaudy.
