Wiley Smiley is superhero/vigilante on the grayer side of the scale. They generally protect the public, work on habitat/environment restoration, aid in human rights campaigns, help others, and doesn't trust the police and governmental institutions. Basically, they made their enjoyment of helping others into a job...ish, they don't get paid. Wiley Smiley's true identity is unknown and their powers are uncertain. They just suddenly showed up one day and started helping people.

Personality

Wiley Smiley is generally very friendly and nice. They easily drop everything to help others and try to make other people's day a little brighter. They speak up about others, but not really about themselves. Wiley tends to avoid any talk about their personal life or feelings, more focused on the feelings and lives of others. Wiley likes to joke around and make others feel more at ease. They are also not known to lie, being very honest and sometimes too blunt about things. Tends to use phrases like "woah nelly", but also prone to cussing.

Description

An average height person, always fully covered with a yellow smiley-face mask covering their head. Always wearing heavy-duty boots, black/brown gloves, a jacket and a choker neckband. Generally, two main different jackets; one with a studded black jacket and a popped collared brown jacket with shoulder patterns. The neckband choker is either a black band or a spiked collar, both are used to keep the overhead mask secure in place. The ends of the mask are neatly tucked into the jacket/shirt.

When fighting, their favorite tool is a baseball bat that they spiked themself. Otherwise they use hand-to-hand combat or any objects they find in the area.

Durability

Before gaining powers, Wiley Smiley had an un-identified autoimmune disease that caused them to have pain in their joints, some days worse than others. It was pretty manageable, but after gaining powers, their immune system became hay-wire with increased abilities. Even though Wiley Smiley has strong healing abilities, they are almost constantly in pain. On particular cold or stormy days they can't even leave their abode. The reason why Wiley Smiley is so durable is not due to being invincible to blows, it’s because they are so used to being in pain that they can more easily handle it compared to others.

Always Masked

After getting their powers, their body suddenly change. Their skin, face, and hands changed into a more "monstrous" shape. This is most likely due to their body not knowing how to handle their new powers. After the change, Wiley Smiley began to have intense dysphoria and hatred towards their "new face". They now wear their mask and wear fully covered outfits, to hide their monstrous looks from themself and others, preferring to identify with their masked face. They are generally okay when at home, but will still try to avoid mirrors or reflections of their face.

Growth Spurt

In extreme cases, such as events of large damage to the body, they will have a surge of regeneration. (ex: getting their back broken from being yeeted at a building) This is definitely painful, but another aspect is their body kicks into a survival mode and does an over the top job of patching Wiley Smiley up. This actually causes Wiley to increase in height, their limbs and torso grow longer. Sometime after the event, their body will return to its usual height.

  • Their blood can have poison or corrosive-like effects of the cells actively attacking anyone's flesh that come into contact with it.
    • Only works when the blood is fresh, as the cells die after awhile.
    • Ingesting their blood would result in intense stinging pain before the cells die out.
