"Well look here! She hails from the toxic planet itself, it's Hedora's own Sibyl! She's got a criminal record for days, a need for speed, and an affinity for explosions! Just don't get on her bad side, you don't want to be on the receiving end of one of her grenades."

Honest Loyal Independent Cold Short-tempered Untrusting

Sibyl is a tough, no-nonsense mega-bitch who isn't afraid to punch you. Enough said. ...No? Well, in that case...

Sibyl is the very definition of "rough around the edges." She's pretty cold, harsh, and serious, at least at first. She's brutally honest, and doesn't really see a point in lying or sugarcoating. She thinks being truthful is one of the most important things a person can do, and doesn't take liars very well. She knows how to stand up for herself, and isn't afraid to speak her mind or fight or her beliefs. She doesn't take no for an answer, and will do anything it takes to keep things working smoothly for herself and the few people she cares about. She may seem like she hates everyone, but she is capable of care. She has trust issues, so it takes her a very long time before she's willing to give people a chance. However, once someone has gained her trust, she proves herself to be a very loyal ally. She's fiercely protective over her friends, and will never let them down. She gets surprisingly warm and friendly when she warms up to someone, and tries to be at least a little bit more cautious of their emotions. She even tries to be civil with their friends, even if she doesn't know them. She believes that, if they're friends with someone she cares about, they can't be that bad. However, just as her trust can be gained, it can be lost in an instant. If she starts getting suspicious of someone, she won't hesitate to leave them. And the one thing you don't want to be is on Sibyl's bad side. She's brutal, ruthless, and vicious to her enemies, and won't hesitate to mess you up if you give her good reason. However, while she may seem (and is) very serious, she still knows how to have fun. She has a mischievous streak to her, and really enjoys the chaotic side of life. She knows her own path, and loves to just walk it to her heart's content. She works at her best without limitations, and can reach the stars when you only told her to reach the ceiling.

However, she isn't without her issues. She has a very hard time working with structure and order, and the idea of authority makes her sick. She is NOT the kind of person you want in a formal situation, as she will not act in a very formal way. The seriousness of authority never really stuck with her, and the rigid scheduling and rules that tend to come with authority figures really rubs her the wrong way. She finds anyone oppressing her spirit and ideas to be a total bore, and has a tendency to ignore them. She's very judgemental, believing firmly in first impressions telling a lot about a person, and is quick to form opinions about people through them. While these opinions can change, it's incredibly hard to make them do as such. She also has a hard time with emotions, specifically her own. She doesn't like to show her own feelings or admit her emotions to anyone, as she thinks it subtracts from her tough persona. She's really hard to get to talk about herself, and she can often catch on when someone is trying to pry before they know too much. She also doesn't like admitting who she likes, and can often act in an almost "tsundere-ish" way to mask it. She isn't one to use physical violence towards those she likes, but when questioned about her feelings about said person, she'll get kinda harsh to deny anything people think. However, underneath the layers hiding away her feelings, she does have a vulnerable side. She believes that she's a really messed-up person, like she's not really "okay." She knows how rough she is to handle, and doesn't really think she's good around anyone, but also really doesn't want to change. She would NEVER admit that, and if for some reason she does, then you know that you're INCREDIBLY important to her. Which, knowing her, is a very good thing.

(NOTE: These details are subject to change! This is just what I have for now, and I like it!)

First, Sibyl was born on Hedora, AKA the "Toxic Planet." It's called this because it's literally toxic. It's a barren wasteland full of toxic gases, pits of tar and smog, and tons of criminals everywhere. The only purified areas are the big cities, anywhere else and you need a gas mask to get around safely.

While she was too young to remember them, her "parents" were very corrupt people, to say the least. Her dad was a scientist who wanted to do some sort of genetic testing/bioengineering. His goal was to make a race of supersoldiers who could "predict the tide of battle and ensure victory," as he put it. He called his idea "Project Sibyl." In order to avoid legal concerns, he went to Hedora to do his experiments. He hired Sibyl's "mom" to be a surrogate to a child he could experiment on in exchange for getting her off of Hedora for good once everything was said and done. Things went off without a hitch, and he started his experiments as soon as possible. He began modifying her, giving her her explosive immunity/absorption abilities in the process. He also attempted to make other changes, such as heightening her senses to superhuman degrees, giving her super strength and speed, giving her an innate killing urge, and making her completely obedient to any order she was given. These extra abilities were never fulfilled in her, however. While trying to test Sibyl's abilities, he got careless and caused an explosion to trigger in the lab. This destroyed the facility and killed him and her mom. Sibyl was discovered in the wreckage by a young scavenger completely unharmed due to her immunity, and was taken to the orphanage. Sibyl was too young to remember anything about the experimenting, so she has no clue about anything to do with her past in those regards.

Unfortunately, the orphanage system did nothing for her. She was just pushed around and treated poorly, and no one wanted to adopt her. Her idealistic dreams of leaving Hedora were quickly crushed, and she soon realized that she would have to rely on herself and only herself if she wanted to survive. As such, she started making her own way around through petty crimes such as theft. She became familiar with the criminal underbelly of the planet, getting herself into plenty of brawls and such. One day, she found her way into the right place at the right time, and saw her first street race. She was amazed by the craft, and quickly stole a bike so she could learn how to ride and join. In her preteen years, she started racing and getting some serious money. She got into various different circles of gangs in the process, and ended up getting into a cycle of manipulation, betrayal, and very temporary arrests. After one successful race in her teen years, a jealous competitor tampered with her bike and rigged it to explode. As anticipated, it did just that; however, instead of perishing, she discovered her immunity and absorption abilities in terms of explosives. Her crash and survival piqued the interest of a gang leader in the crowd who was betting on the racers: thus, she caught the eye of The Lost Ones.

The Lost Ones are a gang led by Antonio Alvarez (Sibyl's technical boyfriend? At least at the start, she breaks up with him eventually). They're a gang who does just about everything you can think of. They hurt people, steal, vandalize, sell illegal things, host illegal gambling and fight clubs, the works. After seeing her abilities, Alvarez invited Sibyl to join the gang. She was highly skeptical and reluctant at first, finding it near-impossible to break her mindset of relying only on herself, but eventually got pretty comfortable there. Now that her safety and stability were confirmed, she used the money she had earned from her successful races to build herself a new bike and a specialized gun to make good use of her abilities, alongside stocking up on a TON of explosives. For once, Sibyl felt like she could let her guard down, and she began making good relationships with the people in the gang; she felt like she had found a family. She got into a relationship with Alvarez eventually, and just had a fun time wreaking havoc with the gang between her street races. She liked it there at first, but as the years went on she started liking it less and less. The gang started becoming less about fun little acts of terror and more about killing people and causing a lot of suffering. Alongside that, Alvarez began to get more and more abusive toward her. She started wanting to leave, but she ended up getting very stuck.

Eventually, however, an opportunity arises. Sibyl and her gang go out scavenging one day when they notice a ship crash-land, a girl tumbling out of it in an escape pod. This girl just happened to be Ellie, who had gotten herself kicked off of Aeon and down to the surface of Hedora. At first the gang takes Ellie as a prisoner of sorts, realizing who she is and planning to ransom her off or something (I don't have the exact details down yet haha.) Instead though, she and Sibyl start to become close. Eventually, Sibyl leaves the gang with Ellie's help, and gets off of Hedora for the first time. Little does she know that this'll lead her on the adventure of her life...

Perfect Storm

Sibyl's main gun. It's huge in comparison to her, and most people marvel at how she's able to handle it. She'll never say, but her combat experience with it speaks for herself. Perfect Storm is essentially an assault rifle with a little trick up its sleeve. Instead of firing normal rounds, it fires explosive rounds. They can stick to any non-living object, causing explosions that way, and explode on contact with enemies. The explosions are usually only powerful enough to seriously injure people or surroundings without death, though can be modified to be deadly on an instantaneous level. She can also replace the ammo with rounds that act like a smoke bomb, allowing her to make a hasty retreat if need-be.

Grenadier

A title given to Sibyl due to her affinity for grenades. She always has them on her, and knows how to use them. She can get pretty reckless with her grenades at times, but makes sure they always hit their mark. Typically her grenades are for bigger, more lethal explosions than Perfect Storm can provide, allowing her to clear out large numbers of enemies at once. However, she also has smoke grenades and flash grenades to distract her enemies with, allowing her to run with more ease, due to how much longer the effects last than those of her ammo.

Explosive Immunity

Sibyl's little gift. She doesn't know exactly where it came from, whether it was natural or from some sort of implant she got as a very young child, but she doesn't care either way. As the name suggests, she is essentially immune to explosions. The blast and shrapnel from explosives, from the tiniest bomb to the biggest missile, can't hurt her, even at close range. When in the proximity of an explosion, a sort of aura or force field comes out of her and protects her. With the right timing, she can use this force field to absorb the power of the blast and protect others as well, though doing this too many times in a row without release causes her immense pain and burns. Instead, if she absorbs an explosion, she has to release it in a burst of power and speed. The length of the burst depends on the size of the explosion absorbed, the longest she's ever had one was about a minute. Due to this immunity, she isn't afraid to get up close and personal with her grenades, such as holding her enemy in a chokehold and pulling the pin right in front of the both of them. However, she has to be careful not to get too reckless. While she's immune to the bomb itself, any damage it causes can still harm her. For instance, if she's in a building that exploded and the ceiling fell on her, the explosion wouldn't hurt her but the ceiling crushing her would. She's also ONLY immune to explosions, other non-explosive forms of attack (guns, knives, swords, etc.) can still harm her.

Vortex

Her prized hoverbike, one that has won her plenty of street races. It's fast, fun, and functional, and has gotten her out of plenty of bad situations. She often uses it to escape after throwing out a smoke screen, as it goes much faster than she ever could. She also just uses it for joyrides, the speed and adrenaline are to die for in her eyes!

• As one may expect, the seriousness of the law has never quite sunken into Sibyl's head. She's made a habit of making funny faces on her mugshots, and really just doesn't care about prison all that much.
• She really loves the tattoo on her thigh; it's of a skull surrounded by black dahlias and broken chains, and she really thinks it symbolizes her well
• She really loves anything black cherry-flavored and scented, it's a really strong and powerful scent/flavor to her, and she loves it. Her second-favorite flavor and scent is peppermint.
• She has a few different coping mechanisms that help ground her when she's particularly stressed, mainly chewing gum and playing with/tugging at her hair
• The partially-shaved portion of her hair was actually an accident. She got gum in her hair once as a teenager, panicked, and shaved it. However, she found out she liked it, and has kept it ever since.
• Only her left ear is pierced, her right one isn't because the piercings became infected, so she took them out and let them heal over
• She has had her jacket since she was a child, and it means a TON to her. She is very protective of it, and will basically let NO ONE touch it but her. It has always been big on her, though she's grown into it a little bit more as she's matured.
• She'd NEVER admit it, but she actually has a stuffed bunny that she loves to cuddle with. It's really soothing for her, and helps her get to sleep at night.
• She really loves brandy, and her favorite kind of alcoholic beverage is easily snowball shots
• She's weirdly skilled with spray paint, and loves vandalizing buildings and such with it
• She has a tendency to use masculine products (Deodorant, shampoo, soap, etc.) way more often than feminine products. She just prefers the scent more.
• While she really isn't a fan of Hedora, she does like the gas masks she tends to need to use to get around safely in parts of it. She loves the aesthetic of gas masks, so they make her really happy to wear.
• She's admittedly somewhat curious about Earth, she's never been on it and, despite what she's heard about it, she still thinks it'd be a better place to live than Hedora.
• She actually likes the smell of gasoline? It's kinda weird and she knows it, but she likes it.
• She doesn't exactly know what she would do with her life if she left Hedora. She kinda wants to find work somewhere, maybe become a legit hoverbike racer... Or just keep doing what she's doing haha.
• It's assumed that the only reason why she's still in the gang is because she's being blackmailed in some way. She constantly talks about how much she hates it, but she never leaves. Maybe she's scared to, no one knows really.
• She will always laugh when she's in pain, at least somewhat. She'll mostly laugh, but it's also mixed with a little crying and lots of swearing depending on the situation. She doesn't exactly understand why she does it, it's like she just goes into a sort of shock to cope with what she's dealing with. Plus she just hates showing signs that she's in pain so that masks it. She does it especially with more grievous injuries, but even with the tiniest papercut or upon stubbing her toe, she often just starts laughing (and cursing) at the pain.
• While she'd never admit it, she loves having the nape of her neck and the tip of her nose kissed. She also loves having her hands kissed, it always gets her blushing.
• The underside of her chin is VERY ticklish, alongside her inner elbows, knees, wrists, and belly.
• She actually loves going out shopping. Even if it's just something as simple as window shopping or grocery shopping, she doesn't mind. It's mainly because she didn't really get to treat herself in a store when she was little due to her circumstances. Now she's more stable financially and doesn't have to worry as much about spending and shopping. She loves treating herself by buying herself and others little things (mainly stuffed animals, coffee, and bike stuff/combat stuff for herself), but gets really embarrassed to admit it.
• Due to being on Hedora her whole life, she hasn't really gotten an education of any kind. She knows how to do basic and useful tasks like reading, writing, and math (to some extent; she's kinda awful at most things above simple equations/formulas she actively makes use of in her daily life, like don't put algebra in front of her unless you want to be smacked), but anything above that is foreign to her. She'll never admit this, and will fight you if you push the issue. However, while her school-type intellect is lacking, her street smarts and such are incredible. She's very knowledgeable when it comes to fighting and knowing how to survive. She also has a lot of mechanical/engineering-esque knowledge. She can take apart a gun, bomb, or hoverbike and put it back together again with ease, for instance.
• She has a bunch of small, barely-visible scars all over her lips. She's no stranger to split lips, after all, and often wasn't able to get the best medical care to avoid scarring whenever she got them. While they're not super visible, they're very rough and pretty easy to feel, mainly because there's so many of them. Thus, her kisses are often pretty rough-feeling as a result.
• While she isn't really one to admit it, she will sometimes just forget to cut her hair. She always remembers to keep half shaved, as it's such a big comfort mechanism for her, as well as usually remembering to keep her bangs/fringe trimmed the way she likes them. However, sometimes the rest of it just doesn't really come to mind for her until it's gotten really long .
• When she's bored, she sometimes likes to paint designs on Vortex, Perfect Storm, and even her explosives at times. She thinks that it gives them a very personal flair, one that she likes a lot. Not to mention, if she gets tired of the designs, she can just paint over them and start anew, which she likes.
• She would NEVER admit this, but she finds miniature objects to be adorable. Especially miniature silverware and miniature accessories (hats, ties, glasses, etc.), she really adores those.
• When she gets REALLY tired, she gets oddly sweet, shy, and cuddly. She doesn't have enough energy to be angry, so instead she's just kinda grumpy and whiny, and she'll often just want a cuddle to get her back to sleep haha.
• She's not super great with self-care when she's down. She often isolates herself more than anything and just tries to sleep a bunch. But usually if she feels she's on the verge of a slump, she'll seek out comfort of some kind to pull her out before it even starts (though she'll never admit that that's what she's doing).
• She has a habit of doodling on napkins and random scraps of paper or paper-like surfaces when she's really bored. Her doodling style is very shape-oriented. She uses a lot of geometric designs to make up her interpretations of people, and often "assigns" others shapes that correspond with their personality when she draws them. For instance, when drawing herself she incorporates a lot of triangles. With Ellie it's either lots of circles or squares (Depending on if she thinks Ellie is being a blockhead or not haha).
• After she got off of Hedora (or maybe before pfft, who knows??), she discovered temporary hair dye. She's super hesitant about using a permanent or semipermanent dye on her hair due to loving its color so much, but spray in colors, hair chalk, and stuff that only lasts a couple washes?? She loves it. So she sometimes casually dyes her hair for like a day or so at a time. She especially likes dying it teal or red, but she's not opposed to trying out other colors.
• She absolutely adores activities that require dainty and repetitive procedures for some reason. They just fit right up her alley. As such, she is obsessed with making little crafts like rubber band bracelets! She'll sometimes make rubber band bracelets for other people as gifts.
