Because of the high stakes, her rank and overall praised talents she would act accordingly, edning up coming off as quite arrogant, harsh and stuck up. Hawks still always valued the safety of the mission and the gems involved- She always did her very best to act professional and cool-headed in every situation.
In reality she was very secluded and private about her emotions, often preffering downtime to be spent alone. Although among her friends she was quite the opposite; enjoying jokes and fun times getting up to no good. It didn't help that she was a thrill seeker either.
BACKSTORY
"I can't forgive myself for fleeing like the coward I swore to never be"
Hawks was a top pilot flying the smaller but faster starships, carrying high valued cargo or passengers through the most dangerous routes.
Once the war began she was recruited to high priority missions where she’d escort weapons, supplies or passengers into the risky heat of the battles.
She led a small deck consisting of competent pilots and she herself was experienced in both leadership and flying. As they were sent into the middle of the gem war she and her trusted Pearl were separated.
Hawks managed to flee just in time before the final dstruction by the diamond's hand's but her ship was damaged and she had to crash land on an abandoned space station nearby.
After weeks of work she could take her ship back to earth only to find what little remained absolutely destroyed, devastated she found her best friend corrupted into a hurting monster.
She now seeks to find a way to revert her friend, finding more surviving friends while exploring earth.
