lynn is relatively soft-spoken and private; although somewhat awkward in large social situations (she can often be found in the corner at parties, unless coaxed out by her friends) she's one of the most talkative in her close friend circles and can hold her own in a battle of wits.

although rational, she is often too kind to voice her anger the way she means it. her restraint only goes so far, and someday her quiet nature is going to come back to bite her.

Lynn is born to a large- but not particularly well-off- family. As one of the older siblings, she grows up accustomed to taking care of her other siblings and picking up odd jobs around the house. She's fairly lonely as a child, too shy to make friends and insecure about her hand-me-down clothes and worn shoes.

However, the one thing her parents would spare no expense on were the ceremonies; a good resulting power would mean higher social standing and therefore money. From a young age, Lynn was told that soon enough she would master fire. This is how she met Dia; the two's parents decided that pairing them together would be good for their development, but they hit it off as friends and have been attached at the hip ever since

However, fate has other plans. While out on a boating trip with her school at age 10, Lynn falls into the water- noone notices until it's too late, and half an hour later she rises from the water looking like a completely different person.

And so begins the beginning of a strained relationship between Lynn and her parents; to them, the accident is more lost money and lost opportunities. Throughout her teenage years Lynn stays out of the way. She knows she's not enough for them anymore, that no amount of made-up chores and babysitting jobs will make up the loss.

So she gradually distances herself; by 16, she's already picking up modelling jobs and buying her own small flat with Dia. She has decent savings built up, and goes through university training her powers the way her parents couldn't teach her; her life as she sees it is going fine, despite her failing communication with her family.

And then everything changes.

Lynn considers herself as good a friend to Ember as she is to Dia; the two siblings are her closest- and seemingly only- friends, and she adores them both dearly. So when Ember's powers launch her into sudden fame, Lynn feels obligated to remain with them both through it. Already accustomed to the attention and public appearances from her modelling career, Lynn helps Ember prepare before interviews and talk shows and all manners of appearance. She's so, so young, and sometimes it hurts to see.

And then somewhere along the line, a representative with blue hair and starry eyes shows up, and Lynn meets Nebula.

Dia is cautious, because who wouldn't be, but Lynn falls head over heels and she can never quite place why. There's nearly a challenge, to breaking down that steely shell of the other woman's expression, and she smiles like the sun itself and Lynn feels positively breathless with love.

Over the years, Nebula worms her way into Lynn's life, and yet she never feels the need to ask. Maybe she's caught up in ignorant love, or maybe it's the fact that neither of them are prone to talking about their pasts nor are they keen to bring them up. And Lynn almost likes it this way, no need to ask questions or answer the uncomfortable ones.

Soon, she'll come to regret that. But Nebula proposes and she's none the wiser, starts the wedding preparations starstruck with excitement and happier than she's ever been.

And then everything goes downhill, and Lynn's only chance at happiness tears itself apart.

Maybe the wedding was a mistake.
