• The man who caused it all: Crisis is the one to blame for the madness of Darkened Paths. While the main duology of DP doesn't specifically follow him, he's had quite the run before it and on his own track during!
• Crisis is a cocky and passionate man with endless drive in his spirit. He craves fame and recognition for his skills and is desperate to be rich. He believes creating mutations for military use will land him in the righteous position of power he wants, but if all else fails, he certainly is a hell of a shot.
• Crisis, born Zachary Spalding, is the son of a lawyer and a traveling pastor. A stellar student and star of the baseball team, he has a high school fling with cheerleader captain Felicity Cazden. She goes along to all his games and is even there to hold the ice pack to his broken nose after his confidence led to him getting a fastball to the face. Their youthful romance is quickly cut short by him getting caught up in the downtown drug trade and fleeing before graduation. Due to being apart of the trade, he gives himself the streetname Crisis. He deals with the consequences of his involvement alone, gets his shit rocked for skimming profits, and holes up in a shack in the woods. His isolation leads him to question his sexuality and carries him to a gay bar where he meets Dice, a witty bartender. They mutually sweep eachother off their feet right away through a shared love of science. Dice defends Crisis from his ex-gangs, and in return, Crisis brings this prince out of his tower. The rest from here is history in a rain of bullets and blueprints and love and experiments. Crisis works on his interest in genetic science while Dice pursues his robotics. Along the way, they pick up Akoni and work him into their polyamory as he escapes from the military. Felicity returns as well for a career and romance. When he's not busy with car chases, rolling down hills in the woods to avoid K-9 units, and studying DNA, Crisis really enjoys cooking and architectural design. He loves Dice with all his heart and appreciates getting into bed with him every night in the home they've made. Deep-web crime, robbery and tests fill their days as they scramble to earn money and resources to fuel their passions and goals. But Crisis has always been the most ambitious of the bunch.. and he isn't afraid to push some boundaries to get what he wants.
