Rex is the leader of the Rebellion. He tried to join his Aurusalkar’s army, but was rejected because he doesn’t have magic. This incident begins to plant a seed of doubt and disdain for the Court and leads him to notice the oppression the Aurus have over Nabis, and magical Nabis over other Nabis. Magic rules the world, and Aurusalkar sit comfortably on top as the rest suffer. Rex vows to end that oppression and bring equality.
He is given artificial magic by Nari, a scientist with questionable courage to do what others wouldn't...and maybe shouldn't. With his newfound power, he begins rallying rebels and turning the Nabis against their Auru rulers.
