Lunarius's Links
Lunarius met Cervus at the university they attended for their training. As heirs to their thrones, becoming acquainted was a must, and Lunarius gladly got to know Cervus. He was drawn in from the start, and saw so much potential for positive change for everyone by Cervus' goals and actions he planned to take. He stayed close to Cervus, and the two quickly grew closer than just friends, but they kept their feelings inside. Now that they're on their thrones and have a solid alliance between their territories, Lunarius has allowed himself to find solace in the love he has for Cervus when spending time with him. He eagerly awaits the day that he may become committed to Cervus without potential political tenseness arising.
Cervus met Lunarius at the university they attended for their training. Cervus was intrigued by Lunarius from the start, and how similar his goals for the future were had him really keen on growing closer to him. And so he did, and their feelings for each other became more than platonic, though they kept it inside. Now that they're on their thrones with a solid alliance, Cervus allows himself to give in to his feelings when travelling to Celestae, and gives Lunarius the love he wishes he could give every day. Once the political issues smooth over, Cervus will jump to asking Lunarius to be his.
Ure-SHII is one of Lunarius' childhood friends, and was one of his best friends growing up. Though thanks to a bad situation on Lunarius' family's part, and how it affected the SHII family, Ure-SHII has held a grudge as the friendship dwindled away. The friendship's flames may have dwindled, but there are still embers that can ignite again, and the two of them still get along well. Lunarius wishes he could be as close as he once was, but is patient, and will wait for SHII to come to him first if it's meant to be.
Lunarius used to be Ure-SHII's childhood friend, and was one of his best friends overall while growing up. Though thanks to a bad situation on Lunarius' family's part, and how it affected the SHII family, Ure-SHII has held a grudge as the friendship dwindled away. He holds the grudge more towards the Astralis family in general, and the pinpoint on Lunarius himself has long since disappeared, so he can easily tolerate Lunarius and get along with him. He knows Lunarius desperately wishes the friendship would return to what it once was, to which SHII thinks to himself..."Maybe someday."
When Lunarius caught wind of a request to meet with the king of Hell himself, Lunarius was beyond intrigued and eager to meet him. He'd heard from the nobles of his palace that once served his father of the mistakes his father and aunt had made during their last meeting with Deus thousands of years ago, leading him to storm out in a rage, and swore to correct this mistake as well. Now, he and Deus have a very close friendship, and he looks up to Deus as a mentor and big brother figure, as they work together to govern the entirety of Hell and improve the relations of everyone and the general quality of life.
When Deus initially heard of the new king in Celestae, admittedly his hopes weren't very high. He remembered all too well how his meeting with the last ruler of Celestae had gone, and needless to say, it hadn't gone well. As such, it was a genuine (but very pleasant) surprise to find that Lunarius was not making the mistakes his predecessors had. Now, he and Lunarius are very close friends - it isn't a stretch to say that Deus admires Lunarius for his steadfast determination in righting the wrongs of his predecessors, despite taking on the mentor role for him. Together, they're working to improve the quality of the lives of everyone in Hell, a goal Deus looks forward to accomplishing alongside Lunarius.
Erasmus is the one person Lunarius has always looked up to no matter what. He's never seen Erasmus as merely a vassal, but a friend and person he would give the entire world to if he could. And while it bothers him how formal Erasmus is with him, he doesn't ever order him to stop, only politely asks and mentions that there's no need for such formality outside of official business, because he knows Erasmus needs his routines and refuses to force him out of what he's established for himself. Lunarius absolutely adores Erasmus and looks up to him, and always goes to him for advice, criticism, and comfort. No matter what the official records and old traditions may say are appropriate for a ruler and his vassal, Lunarius will always treat Erasmus with the highest respect, give him as much freedom as he wants, and will ensure that he does everything within his power to make Erasmus' life as enjoyable and well as possible.
Ever since his birth, Erasmus knew that Lunarius would be the one closest to him. Every single thing about being Lunarius' vassal has always felt so right, like they were meant to be so closely bonded like this, so he swore his unwavering loyalty to Lunarius as soon as he possibly could and it be officially recognized as an oath of fealty. He highly respects and admires Lunarius and his kindness for everyone around him and acts of charity for those in need, and is always willing to lend an ear when he wishes to gush about something that makes him happy to the point of tears. Lunarius is his very best friend, and always will be, and he's sworn to do anything and everything Lunarius wishes of him to ensure his happiness and wellness in life.
If he were to be honest, Lunarius genuinely panicked when he learned how young Primabella is and is already crowned queen. He used every bit of control he could muster to keep calm, though, and followed Cervus's lead and was very friendly with her, which helped him calm down quickly. He thinks she's adorable and a sweetheart, and feels that she has potential to make her kingdom a very peaceful and safe place, even more so when Cervus adopts her as his daughter and they work together to achieve this.
Lunarius is so big and tall, and his cloak so big and dark, so she was kind of shy at first around him. She quickly warmed up to him, however, when Cervus told her about him and how emotional and silly he can be, and she got to see it in action. When she's eventually adopted by Cervus, she'll have not one new dad she loves and adores, but two, and she'll be just as happy to receive Lunarius's love and care.
He wants with all his might to give her the benefit of the doubt...but he just can't. After witnessing a single little standoff between her and Cervus and seeing how hostile they can be with each other, and hearing how unhinged Cervus gets as he darkly chuckles before meetings with her, he knows it isn't a good idea to let his guard down around her. He just wishes Cervus wouldn't refuse to let him protect him from her...
She finds Lunarius to be unworthy for his position due to being so emotional, which is rather ironic due to her being emotional in her own rule. Not to mention his kindness towards everyone until they prove it isn't worthy makes her even more annoyed with him, but the icing on the shit cake for her is how he so obviously will do whatever Cervus says thanks to his love for him. He's an obstacle in the way of her goals, and she has every intention of getting rid of him if he interferes.
All the imagery depicting the Sun Father has Lunarius thinking about Cervus; powerful, intelligent, and able to hold his own and be a solid foundation to keep plans running smoothly. He can't help but sometimes wonder if the Sun Father sees him, and wonders what he would be thinking about Lunarius' relationship with Cervus being so similar to the relationship the Sun Father shares with the Moon Mother.
Lunarius is a handsome fella, that's for sure. He sees the Moon Mother in Lunarius, he's the spitting image of her beauty as her current reincarnation, and he feels happy that the cycle can repeat as Lunarius fell so deeply in love with Cervus.
Every time he looks up at the giant murals of the Moon Mother on the palace ceilings, he feels a sense of familiarity. A kinship, a comforting feeling of sameness and home. He wonders if she's proud of him for how far he's come, and if she would like Cervus since he's so similar to the Sun Father.
Lunarius is her latest and most direct reincarnation yet, and she absolutely adores him. She keeps an eye on him as often as she can, and feels sorrow for him with all the struggle he's faced in his life. She can be assured that Cervus is there to take care of him, however, just like her own Beloved Sun has always done for her in her own times of need.
