- A mission-retired astronaut who now works from home at his cabin in Alaska.
- Married to Stella! They are your perfect example of a loving couple who know how to communicate with each other, solve problems, and overall be wholesome together. Stella is a little overprotective of Lat, but he really doesn't complain, and, frankly, adores the affection.
- Sibling-esque relationship with Kae! If you didn't know any better, you'd assume they were actually related to one another. Kae is by far the closest friend that Lat has aside from Stella, and the two still visit each other & spend a lot of time together just hanging out. They seem to view each other as the sibling they never had.

- In general, Lat is a relaxed & somewhat stoic individual; He isn't afraid to show his feelings, but does so in a very tame manner.
- He lacks a short temper and manages to keep his cool for a little while in stressful situations, but will snap when under enough pressure or when said situations become prolonged or escalated.

- He was an only child and often amused himself with reading books, watching tv, and spending time outside.
- Despite being relatively quiet, he still made efforts to make friends in school, and enjoyed group activities because they catalyzed relationship building.
- In high school he became close friends with a classmate (who coincidentally lived nextdoor) after bonding over a shared interest in space & science.
XXXX-XXXX | College & Early 20s (18-24)
- He begins attending a nearby college alongside his neighbor & classmate, and the two start dating after developing feelings for one another.
- Outside of his main college courses, he takes a handful of wilderness survival classes, and works a weekend job maintaining a nearby campground & trail system.
- Lat graduates college with a degree in mathematics & geographical information systems.
- He & (TBN) almost immediately move in together after graduating college, but their relationship faces scrutiny from relatives who feel against the two dating.
XXXX-XXXX | Early Adulthood (25-35)
- (TBN Love Interest) begins to feel worseningly sick and is diagnosed with a rapid terminal illness; in spite of this the two rush into marriage, trying to ignore her diagnosis.
- After a couple years of failing treatments & him barely making ends meet with his job (a random one he picked up, but felt miserable in, due to being strapped for cash), his wife passes away, leaving him completely devastated.
- Unable to bring himself to continue working, and caught in a period of major depression, he's forced to move back to his parents' house, where he takes enough time and resources to reach a better place mentally and start seeking out a new job.
- Determined to finally achieve the dreams he'd had since he was a child, he applies and is accepted for a training program aimed to get people onto space missions.
- The anniversary of his marriage to (TBN) has him in a low mood one day, distracting him during mission training & causing an accident, which severely impaired his hearing and gave him a scar on the right side of his face.
XXXX-XXXX | Mission Gone Wrong (35-40)
- Lat is finally assigned to a mission as the crew's main navigator, but has very mixed feelings about the other members of his crew.
- He finds himself rather frustrated with the rest of the crew's apparent lack of concern for safety & regulations, but stubbornly continues his duties on the mission.
- Kae, another member of the crew, becomes close with him as they both felt like social outcasts in comparison to the others; The two develop a sibling-type relationship with one another after Lat finally starts socializing back instead of ignoring Kae's attempts to converse with him.
- After a major event shakes up everyone on the ship and puts them all on edge, the crew captain accuses Lat of being the one at fault for the event (due to him being framed), and decides to leave him behind at the current space base despite pleas from others out of distrust.
XXXX-XXXX | The Midlife Crisis™ (40-45)
- Left behind at an out-of-commision base, he manages to survive off the planet's resources & rewires the base to emit a rescue signal.
- Lat is rescued from the abandoned space base by Kae after the latter picks up his SOS signal while on a mission.
- By this point, he has lost his sense of hearing in both ears, and his headset has stopped functioning, leaving him almost completely deaf.
- He is brought on board the ship Kae arrived on and ends up tagging along for the mission, as he had been rescued while on its way to a different exoplanet base.
- Slowly but surely he becomes friends with, and develops feelings for, Stella, who is a doctor on the ship. She bonds with him over her time doing check-ups on him & hanging out off-duty.
XXXX-XXXX | Late 40s & Onwards (46+)
- Returns to Alaska & moves to a small, cozy lakeside cabin.
- Continues to work in astronomy, mapping & space navigation advisement.
- Marries Stella; They forego having a large wedding for the sake of privacy (and Lat hates having lots of attention placed on him).
- Adopts a black german shepherd mix named Caspian.
