Cyan • ?? • They/Them, It/Its

CYA6- or Cyan, as it's more often called, for convenience- is a robot created by MIRA. It, along with its fellow crew, is tasked with studying the planet Polus and the artifacts, wildlife, and phenomena thereof, as well as maintenance of the base and ship. Cyan is very upfront with information, often giving its location before even asked... when it remembers, that is. They're very task-focused, and don't have great object permanence when it comes to anything they're not focusing on. As a result, they very often forget what room they're in, who, if anyone, was with them, what room they came from last... etc. However, they're very good at deductive reasoning working with what information they do have, or are given. It's generally chipper, and not shy on showing affection. It likes being on-planet better than onboard the Skeld, but likes the reactor room almost as much as it does Polus.

Lore

MIRA

MIRA is the company the crew works for. It's a private space agency, largely focused on the study of planets outside Earth's solar system and the effects of long-term space travel. All employees are under a strict nondisclosure agreement, so as not to put at risk MIRA's proprietary research.

Rounds

The first time it happens, almost no one is prepared. Everything was going smoothly, a few weeks into the journey to Polus Outpost on the Skeld. A tranmission from HQ comes, telling the crew to gather in the cafeteria, telling them it's an emergency meeting, telling them all will be explained, telling them it's importance. And once everyone was there, the only explanation they received was radio silence. Absolute isolation, the only clue being the new assigned tasks on the crew's tablets. And then, of course, the bodies.
It takes only a few rounds- the time between each varies, as they'd all come to find, from as long as a month or more to as little as a few days- for everyone to get the pattern. There will be Impostors, and there will be Crewmates. There will be noises in the vents that they learn to mean run. There will be tasks and sabotage and there will be blood or whatever passes for it, and there won't be a word from MIRA on any of it.
For its part, Cyan rather quickly adopts a "no hard feelings" sort of viewpoint on what happens in the Rounds. They harbor no distrust nor hold any grudges over actions taken, even when it itself is killed or ejected. It talks and acts exactly the same around those who have killed it and those they have killed as they alredy did or already would. On the flip side of this, any distrust or dislike towards Cyan for anything they'd done in a Round would confuse them.

Death

Death is impermanent. Cloned tissue had already been regularly used for repair of injuries, and any skeptics of the paranormal on the crew would be soon proven wrong. It was a logical next step to mend the bodies, or, if necessary, clone new ones entirely, for the crews' ghosts once the chaos dies down. In Cyan's case, it can simply be repaired.

Trivia

  • My Among Us sona!
  • Alexithymic
  • 5'10
  • Often takes a second to reply when spoken to because they have to consciously choose their tone. Due to aforementioned alexithymia, often it just tries to use the tone to be expected in a given situation
  • When it's particularly distraught, they'll speak without choosing a tone at all and its voice will be entirely flat
  • Can actually be convinced not to kill when it's an impostor, either by giving them something to do that would last the whole round or by talking them in circles for a bit
  • Its tablet is built into the back of its left wrist
  • It has a removeable panel on its upper back
  • LOVES the snow on Polus. Not a fan, however, of the lava
