» anxiety makes her mute around people she doesn't know. this is perhaps due to trauma she experienced when she was younger, as MITRIS often suspects it to be, but nobody ever questions her on it (it's a very personal subject, and asking about that kind of thing with no real reason wouldn't be taken very well by Rygala). this is part of the reason MITRIS and RYGALA get along so well - they both struggle with severe anxiety issues (RYGALA'S relating more to paranoia whereas MITRIS' anxieties are more about assuming the absolute worst happening), which allows them to relate to each other on a very personal level. neither of them can stand close contact, especially physical (even like someone putting their hand on their shoulder), which lets them be chill around each other as they know that neither of them will overstep their boundaries.

» RYGALA feels like she's constantly indebted to MITRIS after the bionic eye transplant, despite him frequently telling her that he did it out of choice and that she doesn't owe him anything. MITRIS has somewhat of a reputation for being selfless like this to his friends - namely, MARLOW'S incident where he managed to sever his own arm was attended to by MITRIS, who helped him construct and install a bionic arm. though RYGALA is aware of all of this, the real reason behind her feeling like she owes something to MITRIS is due to the extreme stress and anxiety that the procedure of transplanting her new eye that MITRIS had to undergo due to being very squeamish and reluctant to try something as risky as that. nevertheless, he absolutely insisted that he continue, since he "got this far already" with constructing and perfecting the bionic eye itself, so he at least wanted to finish the project - in addition, he knew how much it would hinder RYGALA to not have this operation, since the vast majority of her work involved using telescopes. see: the case of julie (page 5)
