mitris sees proxia as a younger brother, though that could actually be considered the case. essentially, they both like science-y things and cool explosions, regardless of the fact that neither of them would get up to such malpractice in a LABORATORY, where SAFETY IS VERY IMPORTANT, as he keeps having to repeat to his moirail, his predecessor's moirail AND matesprit. they never learn, and proxia is often the one to hear the butt end of mitris' rants about how "they never listen" and that "their defiance of the protocol is going to be the death of them".
proxia makes it apparent to mitris that he finds his friendship with marlow quite..weird. even before the two were matesprits, he couldn't fully grasp the reason behind his dancestor and this individual whom he had very mixed feelings about getting along so well. both mitris and proxia have a brother-sister kind of bond with their moirails (the vairths) and find it somewhat amusing that they are so similar in that way.
oh my god. ohh ymy god. what the fuck is your problem
fucked up timeline probably the same time as marlow and then she put a curse on mitris
on occasion, mitris finds himself worrying about iresna's wellbeing in light of the unfortunate events. though he would never ask her about it, he often wonders why exactly she reacted the way she did (he understands her being upset and grief-stricken, but not the part where she unleashes all of her power to get back at marlow), being as it was never part of her nature, that he knew of. he wants to find a way to help her without upsetting her, being as iresna feels that mitris may be spying on her, or something, considering he is in cahoots with the redbloods. the two become closer after he saves her life and creates prosthetic limbs for iresna, making her feel indebted towards him, and they soon become friends.
iresna is very neutral on mitris, up until the murder of her moirail taking place - though she doesn't set out to dislike mitris or hurt him, he is aware that the whole situation with him being close with marlow is very unnerving to her, which would have a bigger impact if she and mitris were closer friends. neither of them bring it up in conversation. she is grateful to him for saving her life and installing prosthetic limbs, which bring the two more towards being friends rather than acquaintances.
they're more of small talk people, even if they are perfectly aware that the small talk is to get each other to go away. its a special kind of bond
she really likes his cyberpunk aesthetic thats basically it
unlike proxia and anasri's argumentative ways of bonding, mitris and rygala never found themselves to get into such childish fights. though they have their disagreements, the only time they really argued was when rygala was adamant to talk him out of the eye replacement procedure, which really shook the both of them. mitris refused to step down, mainly due to the fact that he was certain that since he constructed the bionic eye himself that he would be the only one to understand the technicalities well enough to not destroy her optic nerve. he doesn't like to bring it up, as the only thing he can remember from it is the amount of panic attacks he almost had during the course of it.
even before the incident, mitris was very important to rygala. she was never sure why, but she and him felt a very strong connection - the best way to describe it would to say it was familial, like he was a brother to her (reflecting the moirallegiance between anasri and proxia). she desparately tried to talk mitris out of performing the operation on her eye with the bionic one that he constructed, nevertheless he insisted that he continue, regardless of the fact that mortis was alive at the time, and likely would have been willing to go through with the procedure (knowing the beckets' tendencies to be a little too experimental with their surgeries and dissections, mitris was very against the idea).
