Zareth

 Your hair is a mess, I can't just let you go around like this; sit down.  

 A shut-in poltergeist and hairstylist who has all his memories from his past life and, by choice, doesn't cut hair.

     Appearance  

He's 174 cm tall, with stepwise short red hair. He has grey skin, with thick black eyebags and blue triangle eyes with a vertical line pupil.

He usually wears an apron and a shirt.

     Personality  

He's a cranky and stubborn person. Someone who wants to pretend he has total control over his life, and sort of likes to boss people around as long as he knows he should do it. Ironically, he doesn't possess much emotional energy- he's rather slow paced in many things.

While he doesn't dislike people, his current state makes him want to not face reality as much as he can avoid. He needs to get over himself, but he's really not doing anything about it. In reality, even if he's mostly really deadpan, he's very sensitive. His own death makes him sad. Hurting others also makes him feel terrible, though mostly physically rather than emotionally, since he's good at sassing people.

He's very protective over his friends, and will try to help them as much as he can. He feels proud of the people he knows if they achieve something good by themselves, and/or if he was there to help them along the way.

     Powers/Skills  

As a poltergeist, he can manipulate certain objects. In his case, it's anything with a blade. He can make scissors, knives, axes, and anything similar levitate and attack with them.

If he's holding any blade and tries to use it, his power will activate and the blade will slice anything into tiny pieces, as long as the knive is capable of it. This doesn't happen to other ghosts as ghost abilities don't work on themselves, but Zareth doesn't know that, and refuses to use this ability altogether.

With practice he can also manipulate other objects and possess people for a short period of time.

Like every other ghost, he's able to phase through things, levitate, and do spooky things in general.

     Backstory  

Because of his way to act, he was subtly rejected by his family. When he knew this, he stormed off and since it was one of his interests, he started a hairdressing saloon. He really really liked styling hair, and also styling people in general, and while he had that saloon, little by little he knew that most of his employees were also runaways from their homes, or had a really bad situation there.

Slowly, they all became a little family, with Zareth as the boss.

Unfortunately, one day he tripped while holding a pair of scissors, and accidentally landed on them in a way that when they arrived at the hospital, he was already dead.

He came back as a ghost police officer under the name of 'Sakse', and didn't remember anything of his past life until a couple of weeks after.

When he remembered, he stormed off again, not completely able to handle all of that information. Even if he visited them, they wouldn't accept him again, he thought.

As a poltergeist, he haunted a house, and made it so it'd be abandoned. A place where he could be alone, and for nostalgia, he set up a small hairdressing room so he could practice it again.

To practice, since he was a ghost and a human would get pretty scared, he grabbed a nearby cat, and started cutting its hair.

That's where his ghost ability got activated, without him knowing of it. His ability was about mincing anything he touched with scissors, and with that, he accidentally minced the cat to shreds.

He got terrified of it, became even more of a shut-in and immediately promised to himself that he wouldn't cut hair anymore.

A really persistent ethereal being, Dymka, keeps visiting him at least once a month, to tell him to go back to work. He acts annoyed at her, but deep down does appreciate that she visits him because he feels sad and alone.

It was when she apparently referred a new ghost to him, because he was the closest memory case known in the area, and the ghost that visited him, Mauna, had a really strange case of it. Zareth wanted to help, sure, but he was mostly confused.

And offended by Mauna's hair.

They ended up talking, and after a while both of them found out that Mauna had a split personality, Haziel, who couldn't really talk, but had all of his memories of his past self.

Dymka took care of Haziel, and Zareth figured he wouldn't be visited by him anymore, but a while later Mauna appeared again, telling him he didn't really know about anyone else, and that he was pretty much lost.

Zareth became his caretaker, almost, and actually enjoyed having such a nice guy as his company. And little by little, not really meaning to but just being curious about the outside world, Mauna got him to go outside more often.

     Other  

• Other than styling hair, enjoys fashion a lot. Would dress up in cute clothes, but has far too low self esteem for that, and thinks they don't suit him.
• Is SO annoyed about his cause of death. It's so dumb. He gets so angry.
• Doesn't like being called by his ghost name. Unfortunately, his ghost name is the one that he is officially listed as.
• His blood is oily and saturated blue, sometimes with yellow tints in it.
