In all seriousness, Sage is a very loyal, kind-hearted and optimistic man. He may truly be air-headed, having a hard time keeping up with others who can comprehend quite a bit in no time, but he'll always make up for it with eagerness to learn and a never-ending reserve of patience.
He isn't stubborn by any means, but rather gentle and staunch in supportiveness. He refuses to believe anyone is capable of being heartless, since he has so much to give. And in that capacity he can be extremely naïve, to the point of detriment...

Though he wanted to appease his family in fulfilling his imposed destiny, he didn't find much interest in the divining area of spellwork, and instead followed his instincts to continue on studying in lesser-researched areas of mage powers.
He works under a powerful and highly intelligent magus-professor, and is something of a glorified assistant (rarely researching and mostly taking notes as asked), though Sage doesn't understand as much... Maybe it's for the best.
