Luck? Milia thinks to herself, her robotic brain whirring at the effort. Her eyes scan the scene, the programming in her brain itching to find something concrete to examine. Luck is not something easily calculated, and who knows what could be in the box? So many options... so little info..
it is quite the odd feeling when one can feel their own brain heating up, and literal hot air coming from their ears. Milia shakes her head, dismissing the thought before it makes her self-destruct. With a small smile she looks directly into the boy‘s eyes and shoves her hand into the box.

melanie squints at nathan suspiciously, narrowing her bright green eyes. luck? really? that sounded stupid. she was tired of these houses having luck and challenges. she just wants to get her candy. whatever, she's sure that her luck is just fine. the pink-haired girl lets out an annoyed huff, though flashing nathan a fake smile despite her annoyance. she readjusts the black witch hat on top of her hat and then steps towards the box. she tenses for a moment, staring at the box with the same suspicion as she did with the boy, or the 'host'. whatever, it's not like she'd be scared of a box anyways. that would be stupid.
finally, she reaches a pale hand into the box, shutting her eyes just for even more suspense as she rummages around, picking out a random item and hoping for the best.

Sokuai leans into the box a bit, then takes his hand back out. He's rather unsure of this, it seems like like a ploy to scare his socks off.

The small corgi happily approaches the box her big cowboy hat falling over her eyes as she walks over. she sets her candy bag down and her hat on top so she could see, the bells on her boots made little jingling noises as she excitedly bounced up and down. She stook her paw into the box and reached near the bottom, standing on her tip toes and moving her arm around until she finds the perfect thing to grab.

Mustering up all the courage she could, she takes a breath and slowly reaches her paws into the box...
Laika smiled at the boy innocently, seeming a bit shy although as she stood in the doorway, he tail tucked between her legs. She stepped forward to reach in, closing her eyes nervously. "I hope my demonic luck doesn't screw this up for me" she mumbled as she pulled her paw up from the bowl.

Morgenstern's paws padded on the concrete with intense determination while his most trusted servant, Pusifer followed behind him.
"Do you really think you're going to get more followers this way, my Lord of Great and Undecipherable Darkness?"
Morgenstern barked and dropped his plastic pumpkin on the sidewalk, all his candy tumbling out of it haphazardly. "YES." he turned and barked angrily. "Look at all these fools!" he raised a paw at a gaggle of people walking by with sheets over their heads like ghosts and children tugging on their parents arms to the next house. "They're just ready to have me eat their souls!"
Pusifer batted around a stray dum-dum that had skidded over to his paw. "Whatever you say, my Lord and Greatest of all Unspeakable Horrors Beneath the Streets."
Morgenstern picked up his bucket back into his mouth and mumbled something like: " ew coconut, you can have that one..." with Pusifer responding in a purring monotone before pulling the wrapper from the sucker and putting it in his sharp teeth. He jumped up onto a porch with a light on it and sat down his bucket before yelling "TRICK OR TREAT--JOIN MY ARMY!"
Pusifer looked at Morgenstern for a few seconds before padding over to where Nathan had gestured to the box. "Allow me, your Great and Terrible Demon of Darkness and Flocks of Ravens, I shall pick you your prize." He dipped his paw in and flailed around, tagging onto whatever piece of paper his claw could catch.
Pusifer takes up a piece of paper and reads it aloud. "Who did Frankenstein go trick or treating with? His ghoul friend."
Nathan laughs. "Sorry, you just got tricked!"
Morgenstern looks at Pusifer with bewilderment. "Wh-"
Pusifer looked back at him for a moment before realizing it was a trick. "Well, your Grace and Most Deviant of Creatures, you did say Trick OR Treat."
Morgenstern looked back at Nathan and started yelling "TREAT OR TREAT TREAT OR TREAT" before Pusifer eventually became embarrassed and tugged his Lord Grace, Demon of Black Ravens, Whipping Winds of Gales of Darkness, back to the streetside by his tail.

Salem, who had on a Betelgeuse (aka Beetlejuice) striped suit top and striped pants, hesitantly walked up to the box. He could feel something off about the place, yet he couldn’t quite place his finger on exactly one thing. When he stood in front of the mystery box he could still feel the unnerving eyes of Nathan watching him. He placed his hand deep into the box and spun the papers counterclockwise for a few seconds. Then, he grabbed one of the many small slips of paper and as Salem pulled it out of the box said, “I got one!” Finally, he turned around and waited for Nathan to reveal if he was lucky or not.
