Knochen are able to transform only partway into humans, leading to all sorts of horrible combinations inbetween. While Esrey primarily utilizes this to disguise himself as an uncanny, an inbetween race mostly composed of humans that have overused magic to the point of developing magical deformities on their bodies, there are also other nightmarish possibilites thanks to my liking of toying around with horrific body imagery.
