During his second (and first canonical) roleplay in knochen lust (linked in the roleplay logs on the profile as "Murder Deals, Part 2"), Esredes makes a deal with a strange young human woman while scouring a human village for anything potentially interesting. The deal is as follows: if he leaves her and her town alone, she will keep track of all the hunters she hears about and give their names and locations to him on a list for him to track down and dispose of. But since then, their business partnership has grown into an unusual friendship that has gone far beyond the deal it was originally made. Now between an ongoing hunt for an evil scientist and Alise's growing involvement with the nochmal and the ways of being a knochen, the two of them have plenty of little adventures to endeavor together, all while making sure the relationship remains untouched and unseen by multiple forces that threaten to severe it forever.
While it may seem predictable for Esrey to befriend a human, to me it's the funniest thing that he would make an exception for one in order to get his hands on more. And since it's happened, Momo and I have never gotten over the charm and irony of it, especially as it continues to develop and cover multiple arcs and bring out rarely seen sides of both characters.
Therefore, what better way to appreciate it than roleplaying them a million times, and drawing much more fanart?
