Ogima

Born into a family that dealt particularly with those in the black market, Ogima learned from his very youth that telling the truth could usually get you in trouble. Whether it was with enemy countries and tribes, nefarious individuals or wealthy families, one had to tell them what they wanted, whether it was the truth or a flat out lie. And, usually, it was the later that it ended up being. Ogima learned how to tell a lie quite well, and earned quite the poker face when it came to such things, too, so his family weren't afraid to leave him or his siblings alone, nor where they afraid to bring him along for the ride. He learned a lot from his parents and their trade, and they had assumed that he would take up their craft as he got older. After all, a hollow peace of mind was much more appealing on the outside than an ugly, honest truth, and their son was becoming something like them; lacking a conscience and becoming more and more criminal.

But something changed. Like every other being in the world, that conscience still was there. Though it had shriveled and died, or at least one would have thought it did, it was still there, telling him that every half truth he spoke was really just a lie in disguise, and every lie would only get him into deeper and deeper trouble. Ogima knew this, and was almost constantly reminded of it. It got so bad that he couldn't handle it anymore. He told his parents he didn't wish to become like them, and was ultimately kicked out of his parents' home because of this. With only the clothes on his back and the shoes on his feet, he went off into the world, to try and find a place for himself... and to try and stop the confounded lying that he had become so accustomed to doing. Eventually, he picked up on a better occupation, one that he had also been trained in for; the collection of information.

To this day he still collects information and sells it on the side. Currently he is a traveling merchant, content to buy and sell various items that he thinks people would find use in. While his lying habit still seems to stick to him, it doesn't stick to him as tightly as it once did. He still lies, sure, but he's quick to admit it, no matter how embarrassing or unprofitable it may make him. Because of this, he doesn't have too much business... but those he does do business with know that he can be trusted.
