Linkin is a sturdy, compact, well-built stallion. He is heavily muscled after years of training and the scars on his pelt tell of the battles he has fought and the struggles he has gone through. All four of his legs are dipped in white as well as a large portion of his face. His mane and tail are a little shorter than average.

Linkin Park has a calm disposition in most situations. Many can mistake him for being emotionless, but he very well knows how to feel. Linkin is unquestioningly loyal to those he calls his friends and his family. Linkin has severe social anxiety and is often in the background when it comes to situations where he has to talk to other people. He is passive with a lot of things, but this changes when someone or something threatens those he cares about. He will do anything to protect those he's loyal to and can be quite selfless in hostile scenarios. Linkin is quite ambitious and often has fleeting dreams where he rules and those have to bow down to him, but he neither has the motivation nor the confidence to pursue these dreams. Linkin often contradicts himself and discusses and argues with himself over the best course of action. He feels that he's incredibly selfish and only thinking for himself and considers himself worthless. Linkin often doesn't reveal any of his feelings to others because he feels that there is nothing that can be done to change him. He buries all of his insecuries deep inside of himself for the fear that someone will criticism him further. He doesn't like being pitied and often wishes he could be different. He's very hard on himself and often mentally yells at himself for things he should have done. He's very understanding and sympathetic to other horses and although he is judgmental in his mind, he never lets his assumptions or stereotypes leave his mouth. He cares a lot about what others think of him and takes things very personally. However, when he's in a good mood he can be funny and easygoing. When he does get motivated, his determination is unbreakable. He will go to great lengths to prove himself and loves challenges. He is an analyzer and a strategist, always figuring out the best possible way to do things and always analyzing other people's actions, decisions, and ideas. He's incredibly thoughtful and insightful. He is generally a nice horse and treats everyone with respect. He despises shallow horses and those that judge everything with a stereotype, though thinking this way makes him a bit of a hypocrite. He usually speaks very eloquently and doesn't usually swear. He can be a bit of an angry and impulsive horse and when bad things happen, he needs a bit of time to mull it over because he knows that if he decides to do something in the heat of the moment, it will come back later to haunt him.

Linkin Park was born to Forsythia and Slipknot. He was a rape child, his mother having been raped by Slipknot and her eldest child dying by his father's hand. Forsythia tried to hide it, but she never wanted him. She got pregnant soon afterward with another of Dasan's, her mate's, children. Linkin Park was outcasted after he started screaming in his sleep from the nightmares he had. It was evident to everyone that he was insane. He grew close to his cousin, Jericho and they became friends. Linkin Park was there with Jericho at the herd meeting when Jaezonte attempted to take over Dark Woods. He was going to be trained under Jaezonte's rules, but when the stallion left, Linkin was left alone. Jericho, however, ran away from home for reasons unknown and Linkin was again alone.

He wandered to the foal territories and met a filly named Lady Katherine. He snapped and bullied her because of the way others had treated him at first, but she eventually broke down his barriers and they became friends. He took her to Dark Woods for the night because she was blind in the dark. He didn't meet her again for a while and met her in her father's lands, Forbidden Ruins to learn that her father had been killed and that she was to take the throne. He returned again to Forbidden Ruins to meet her friend Axel, but it ended in disaster when Axel grew possessive over Kathy. They had both her that Kathy had been raped by Linkin's cousin, Jaezonte. Kathy eventually had enough of Axel's accusations that the rape had been her fault and snapped. Linkin chose that time to reveal that the scent on Axel's coat was Indomitia, the cousin to Jaezonte, and Axel retaliated by saying that Linkin was also related to him and attacked Linkin, attemting to tear out his throat. Kathy took off, not wanting to see her friends fighting.

Linkin went after her, but when it was evident she wasn't coming back, he too, left. He showed up a couple months afterward, too afraid that she would cast him out because of the way he'd acted. She welcomed him back, but soon snapped at him for leaving and thinking everything would be normal. He said nothing, taking her blows. She apologized afterward and he asked to join her herd as a Warrior. She agreed. Staying in Forbidden Ruins kept Linkin more sane than he'd been in a year and he enjoyed Kathy's company. In time, he felt himself beginning to love her and although he denied and tried to tell himself that he couldn't, he fell in love with her anyway. One day when Kathy had returned from a venture in Kunipar Cliffs, Linkin discovered she'd been talking to Axel and that they were going to stay in Forbidden Ruins. She confronted him about why he was so depressed lately and he told her that he loved her. She didn't share the same feelings, however.

The Helkaer stallion Romeo then came to Forbidden Ruins, intent on having Kathy as his own and messing up the peace. Linkin met up with him and the two of them fought during a terrible storm. Unfortunately, Linkin's lack of colored vision and the terrain and conditions caused him to fatefully trip and Romeo knocked him out. Linkin woke up to the pain of being dragged through the terra to Phantasmagoria, Romeo's lands. From there, he was put in a slave cell, chained, given little to no food and beaten verbally and physically to the point of blackening out. After two weeks of torture and starvation, Linkin was drowning in the depths of infection and his own insanity. He thought he was hallucinating when he saw Lady Katherine come into his cell and wail, thinking he was dead. Kathy helped him break free of his cell and they began freeing other slaves. However, Romeo caught them and Linkin very reluctantly obeyed Kathy's order to flee as she was attacked by Romeo. Axel showed up to help them and fought off Romeo while Linkin took Kathy back to Forbidden Ruins. It became quite clear to Linkin that Kathy and Axel were mates and in love and it was then that he decided he was going to leave Forbidden Ruins and journey elsewhere, because it was killing him to stay there watching Kathy with someone else, much less with Axel. However, instead of him going away, Kathy did instead and left him in charge of the herd. For months, he waited for her to return. She finally did return and she went to speak with Linkin. However, they got into an argument instead and Linkin took Kathy leaving the argument as a sign that she didn't want to be friends anymore and decided to leave. However, she came after him and told him instead that she loved him. He still loved her; he always had and the two of them became mates.

Shortly after this, Katherine's mother, Sobering Red Ransom came to visit. She and Katherine had a reunion of sorts before she took her leave. Then, Bayleigh came stumbling home, nearly a corpse, saying that she had been captured and raped by Rigor Mortis - the same stallion that had tortured and starved Linkin. Linkin goes to visit Emmaline for a short while before he sees Castle, the stallion who had raped her. He goes after Castle, in a white-hot rage and beats the Helkaer stallion nearly to death before leaving him in a pool of his own blood. He returns home to Forbidden Ruins hours later, horrified at what he'd done, not knowing the retaliation that would follow. Lady Katherine then discovers her half sister, Joselynn and her daughter, Amberlynn and invites them both into the herd. A meeting is then held in Forbidden Ruins with several guests attending, including Kathy, Joselynn, Amberlynn, Bayleigh and Dusty and new faces, Freebooter, Saturn, Caiomhe and her daughter, Raen. The group of them discuss what is to happen to Rigor Mortis - the stallion who tormented so many of them.

Forbidden Ruins is then disturbed by Respira, who confronts Linkin as the one who beat up her mate, Castle. She attempts to attack him, but Lady Katherine comes upon the scene and interrupts. The mare is horrified to know what Linkin has done and orders Respira to leave. Respira does so - but with a promise that she will force Forbidden Ruins to choose sides in the war between the Dark Royals and the Helkaer. This even puts a wedge in Linkin and Kathy's relationship and Linkin begins to withdraw from the herd and from Katherine. At this time, Linkin and Bayleigh get into a huge fight that seriously damages their relationship nearly beyond repair. Bayleigh is then stolen by a stallion named Razorblade Alliance. Linkin challenges for her freedom and wins. He brings Bayleigh back home to Forbidden Ruins, but is unsure of whether or not he wants her to stay after the things she said to him. Eventually, Katherine then confronts him about how withdrawn they've been from each other and apologize to him for being unspportive. Linkin finally decides to tell her during this conversation that he wants a baby. After raising both Zaira and Wyatt/Cole for Bayleigh, Linkin desires a child of his own. Katherine is surprised at first, but she tells him that she wants a baby too. The two of them finally become intimiate and Katherine discovers she's pregnant a couple of months later.

Eleven months down the road, Katherine tells Linkin she's having labor pains and goes to Tulor Woods to give birth. Linkin is anxious the entire time she's gone. She returns home with a baby boy, a classic champagne with yellow eyes. Linkin dubs him Caradhras and could not be happier with the way his life has turned out. He and Kathy then decide its best if they return to Linkin's childhood home of Dark Woods, since they now have a young son and an empty land. However, before they can leave, Linkin is informed he's been stolen by a mare from Amdusias Isles named Casavir. He goes over there and tells Kathy to stay in Forbidden Ruins to take care of their son while he figures out what Casavir wants. He demands what Casavir wants from him, but the mare lets him go when he arrives and he returns home. After this, he and Katherine decide to leave for Dark Woods. However, before they leave they are shocked by the appearance of Bayleigh. Linkin has a brief discussion with his former friend, telling her that they will be leaving. Linkin does not want her to come with, but will not stop her if she tries. Bayleigh then decides to leave. Linkin then meets a mare in the Free lands and helps her fight off attackers before realizing that it is none other than Jazmin, his aunt who he hasn't seen since he was a child. The two of them talk and he offers her a home in Dark Woods.

Linkin and Kathy settle into Dark Woods fairly easily, raising their son. Linkin cherishes every moment of his son's life, fascinated with how the boy grows up. It seems in no time flat that his son is already a year old and they start taking him out of Dark Woods to explore the territories beyond. More months pass and Linkin feels more content with his life than he's ever been, raising his son with the love of his life in the safety of his childhood home - a place that he'd once hated. It now truly feels like a home to him. Carad then reaches his second birthday and the two of them throw him a celebration even though the boy seems to have grown out of such things already. However, the inevitable day came a year later when Carad told both of his parents of his wish to leave Dark Woods. The two of them said a tearful goodbye to their only son. A few days later, Linkin meets a stallion named Evander in the Free land of Geysir. A week later, Linkin and Kathy discuss the idea of having another child together and decide yes. They then have a race and try to relive the carefree days of their foalhood.

Only a few weeks later, the Helkaer mare Sly visits Dark Woods along with Lyulf and Siavash. She sets Dark Woods on fire. Linkin is sent to the Versai by Reth to request aid. He meets with the newest Versai member, Diana as well as Versai Commander, Eos. Diana agrees to help and the two of them go to Dark Woods. She manages to put out the fire, but not before considerable damage is done to the territory. Linkin is devastated and helps with the cleanup of his home. When the rumor spreads that there will be a massive fight between the Neutral Kingdom and the Helkaer, he joins the fight against them alongside Lateralus, Reth, and Vojorn. Unfortunately for them, the Neutrals lose the war and are put under Helkaer occupation. This lasts for several months before the Helkaer leave without another word. Linkin is angered and conflicted over what has happened, questioning why things had occurred the way they had and what he could have done differently to help - if there was anything he could do in the first place.
