Corza is a relentless blood death knight, slain and resurrected by the Lich King himself to serve him unconditionally.

As the Lich King's army spread across the world, many brave warriors were lost, protecting their families & land. These honourable fighters' tales did not end there, however, as the Lich King would resurrect the fallen to join his own forces as Death Knights. These Knights would then aide their new King further in the destruction of the world, directly working against what they had fought so hard to protect.

During the resurrection process, the victim's soul is twisted to bend to the Lich King's will, ensuring they follow his command without hesitation. This process alters their memories and personalities, almost always resulting in bitter & cold Death Knights. The Lich King's mental grasp on all of his followers additionally causes these memories to be cast in a negative light. Even if a Death Knight remembers his family, his home, his purpose, the Lich King's hold on his mind will cause him to prefer his life serving as a Death Knight, and he will fester a deep hatred for his previous life.

This mental manipulation did not always work, however, and several Death Knights had remembered too much from their past and their final moments. These Knights had rebelled against their King, forming their own group and working to convince their former comrades to do the same. This was a threat the Lich King was prepared for, and he called for the traitors to be dispatched, but he was concerned about this occurring more frequently, and so he hatched a plan: to create the perfect Death Knight, a formidable warrior with a new soul, rather than distorting the existing one.

Corza was the result of this plan. She was slain at the hands of the Lich King himself, and as she was resurrected, the King formed a new soul for her reanimated body.

As her soul was severed entirely from her body, Corza is a completely new person, a blank slate. She couldn't recite her name, so Corza was the name given to her by the Lich King. She understands language, but is of few words. Corza can focus and complete tasks, and can communicate effectively with her fellow Knights, but when left to her own devices she often disassociates with her body and harbors a deep feeling of being unnatural and wrong.

As Corza is sometimes not entirely confident with her senses - sometimes focusing too much attention on one thing, putting her in danger of surprise attacks - the Lich King bestowed a guardian upon her, by the name of Iris. Iris takes the form of a glowing blue eye, is psychologically linked with Corza, and keeps watch over her surroundings, warning her of any immediate threats.

The other Knights of the Ebon Hold describe Corza as quiet, slightly airheaded, to-the-point, and "like talking to a brick wall". As she has no prior knowledge, most of her manner of speech is simply from observing and listening to those around her.

The Scarlet Crusade describe Corza as their worst nightmare.
Her lack of humanity makes her a ruthless opponent, and as a Blood Death Knight, her ice-cold body is powered by stripping others' souls from their bodies. Death Knights must kill to survive, and Corza is no exception, leaving waste to any troops that attempt to thwart her.

Corza spent many years working tirelessly under the Lich King's rule, following every order without question, and occasionally looking at her hands - covered in scars she has no memory of - and hoping to one day, fill the emptiness in her chest.

Then, things changed.

On a routine morning patrol, Corza once encountered a large tiger, who had the ability to speak, and begged her to leave behind her life at the Ebon Hold. Corza refused and attacked the tiger, who dodged the Death Knight's blows skillfully. The tiger warned between dodging leaps that the Alliance and Horde were on their way with an unimaginable number of troops, the Lich King will lose, and that Corza herself must consider fleeing, so she does not lose her life in the battle.
Corza scoffed, as she could not believe this tiger's words to be true, and announced if she were to see the tiger on the Lich King's land again, Corza would have no mercy.
The tiger fled into the woods, crestfallen, and Corza barely considered the possibility of the tiger's warning to come true. The encounter slipped to the back of her mind.

The next morning, the endless wave of warriors descended upon the Ebon Hold. The Death Knights fought well, but their skill could not compete with the sheer number of men, and soon they were cornered. Just as the Alliance and Horde had the prime opportunity to slay the Lich King, he disappeared into a portal, leaving no trace in his wake.

The Lich King had fled from Ebon Hold back to Icecrown Citadel - just as that tiger promised - and his grasp on his precious Death Knights was severed almost entirely. The Knights' memories of loved ones were no longer tainted, and they traveled to the Horde and Alliance capitals, to beg for mercy, and to perhaps rejoin their factions to atone for their destruction.

Corza had no one to go back to. Wandering into the bustling city of Orgrimmar, purposeless, aimless, she was approached by a friendly troll, whose voice sounded familiar. The troll introduced herself as Slimeman, and to Corza's shock, this troll could take the form of a tiger at will. Corza apologized for her previous behaviour, and Slimeman simply laughed.
"Things are much different now, as you are now your own person," Slimeman had said. "You can do whatever you wish. But, if you'd like a place to start, I could show you around this world. There's a lot to catch you up on!"

With nowhere else to go, and ultimately touched by Slimeman's warmth, Corza agreed, and together they travel, trying to find their purpose in their broken world.
