Nis is a child of sheer coinicidence, an egg lost on a planet in winter, where the parents went no one can say...or well at least not the species that took him in as they weren't exactly sentient. Nis couldn't care less either, as far as they are concerned they have always been a wild creature of the woods, born in a cave where their egg rolled under the warm cover of bedding and was kept warm. One day there were six pups and then suddenly a seventh ball of fluff that looked and smelled much the same as the other and so they remained and learned from mimicry. An outsider would of seen an odd bird child playing among something vaguely wolfish but Nis' home was not one frequented by browbirds and so he grew up in solitude but never alone.

One day the curious Nis found a cabin, something lived in and smelling of an odd creature with a large gate set in the main room. What a surprise when it lit up and more so when a strange bipedal alien stepped from its light, he tried to escape, woefully bad at understanding doorknobs on the closed door and instead fled into the light as an only means to escape from the strange alien. Somehow in another strange place with more of these aliens, he fled from the populated areas and the only means back to his home. Now he is trapped and alone, in a strange world with strange creatures that he couldn't even begin to fathom as his own kind.
