HAIRSTYLE: like his tailcoat, it behaves like fire. blends in with his body except for a random bit of hair in the front that covers his third eye. loves doing his hair, but its a little hard to do anything cool with it when its so unstable
CLOTHING STYLE: big and dramatic. flowy garments. glitter. shiny accesories. anything fancy. he loves dressing as obnoxiously as possible its what he lives for
MAKEUP: wears fake eyelashes at the very least. when hes feeling particularly pretty he'll throw on some eyeliner and eyeshadow. might try out some bolder stuff if he's feeling fancy but its not a regular look for him
DESIGN NOTES:
- his entire body glows white. his eyes glow purple. hes basically a walking nightlight
- despite being a ghost his body looks physical and is surprisingly stable, save for his hair and tailcoat
- the sparkles + gradient on his pants are totally optional. if making them one solid color they should be the lighter purple!
- has unnaturally long ears. like elf ears but without the point
- his long lashes are part of his design! but obviously stylize them however you'd like
- he has a third eye that, when closed, is always covered by his hair. its only ever visible when its opened
- his earrings can be drawn as feathers as opposed to triangles lol, thats what they were originally supposed to be

TATTOOS:
has 6 tattooos in total, all purple
- two tattoos that wrap around his elbows, all in an eye shape pattern
- two tattoos that wrap around his knees, all in an eye shape pattern
- two spirals that reach from his armpits to his collarbone

- a small thin scar on his left cheek
- a scar from a stab wound on his chest, right above his heart
// Combat.
RAPIER - weapon
a rapier infused with part of his soul, allowing him to cut through the fabric of reality and travel the multiverse. decorated with a golden fire-shaped ornament on the base of the blade, along with a gold guard & pommel and a dark handle
FORESIGHT - ability
when his third eye is opened, he can see every possible future outcome of his situation and the probabilities of each one happening
FIRE UP - ability
can puff his flames up at will. it can't hurt people or do anything for him but it looks cool. sometimes does it subconsciously when overwhelmed with emotion
LEVITATION - ability
can hover off of the ground and get some decent air time, though doing it for long periods of time is exhausting. cool for tricks and quick hops into the air, but not much else

// Personality.
he is the very definition of theatrical. hes got a big personality, big clothes, and the biggest ego in the entire multiverse. he loves to think of himself as everyones savior and has a habit of talking down to people because of it, taking problems into is own hands and thinking hes always in the right for doing so. its always completely unintentional, he actually loves people and he loves treating people with gifts and affection and validation, but his arrogance loves to get the best of him at the worst of times.
despite his confidence hes actually a complete dumbass, he never knows what hes doing ever but loves to pretend he does; he downplays his mistakes and treats his happy accidents as caluclated victories, leading people to believe he knows way more than he actually does. and yet he somehow manages to be an extremely smooth talker alongside this, unintentionally flirting with people and winning over the hearts of others with a flick of the wrist and some accidental wit.
on the inside, behind the drama and exaggerated confidence, he struggles a lot with his identity — not remembering who you were before your death can do that to you. in order to cope, he latches onto people and materialistic things to try and piece together some kind of character for himself, and will get. unecessarily upset when people tell him hes wrong about things. because if hes wrong, in his mind that means hes never been right. and that means hes not right about who he is. and thats pretty upsetting
his inability to accept that he can be wrong about things sometimes becomes borderline dangerous when you throw his morals into the mix. with an extremely strong sense of justice mixed with his skewed black-and-white view on morality, hes convinced himself that there are two types of people in this world — good and bad, with no room for anything in-between — and that its his destiny to "vanquish all evil" and "restore peace to the multiverse". and like, while thats concerning at best, if he were to misinterpret someones motivations and trust or distrust the wrong person that would be. you know. not great. because he would never give it up
in the end hes just a silly guy that doesn't really know what hes doing. hes fakin it until he makes it and its working out for him, weirdly enough? but also his ego is as fragile as glass and if you question it even a little bit hes gonna cry. he just wants to do the right thing but his idea of the right thing is a little fucked up sometimes

// Trivia.
- his real name is eric james castell. does he know that? no. and we should keep it that way
- he always carries a camera around and loves to take pictures of people without warning. its annoying but hes obsessed with his photos being "in the moment" so he continues doing it no matter how upset people get about it. he has a scrapbook dedicated to his photography
- his "blood", aka the purple mist inside his body, is actually a physical manifestation of his soul. if hes bleeding out, that means he is actively bleeding out bits and pieces of his soul. which isnt great, and is exactly why he avoids anything that might cause him to bleed like its the plague
- he has a habit of copying peoples speaking patterns and repeating specific phrases over and over. also likes to speak with his hands
- originally made on december 6th, 2018. he was inspired by cecil palmer and a few of my friends' ocs, and was originally supposed to be a mysterious bartender with the ability to read peoples minds

SHADOW - platonic soulmate
they're something of a lifelong partner to eryx, but not in any romantic way. they're like two sides of the same coin — both of them are dumbasses with huge egos, but aside from that they're opposites in every other way — so they butt heads often, but in the funny way where you know they care about each other a lot outside of their differences. they're an inseperable duo
eryx absolutely adores them to pieces and would blow up the planet if they asked him to, constantly showering them in hugs and kisses and gifts. even though he has to reign in their chaos and apologize on their behalf a lot more than he'd like to, they're the only person who gets to see him at his most vulnerable and the only person he'd ever listen to for criticism or advice. they're bffs <3
