Much of Tomaru's abilities are non-existent in this verse, and his rivalry with Natsume is more subdued.
Tomaru, alongside Natsume, take on some odd jobs hunting monsters to understand what their goals are. After confronting some of the more dangerous foes, the two temporarily part ways alongside Yurie and Renko to do a bit of investigation of their own.
