Kenji Yamamoto

Personality:

Kenji - or Warden, depending on who's speaking with him - is a short tempered man who, despite everything, tries to play up a chill and composed front. He usually pulls it off, but there are choice people who can set him off without much issue. 

Background:

Kenji grew up in a relatively normal part of Japan, where he got average grades and eventually, an average job in an office. Though the pay wasn't great, he did value it a lot, and hoped to work hard to get a promotion in the field. When his work stalls, however, and he starts to lose purpose, he starts to ask him - was he really anyone important to begin with? This frustration drives him to play DRcade the first time and, taking on the role as Warden, finds himself wishing that he could be anyone but himself.

Of course, he doesn't expect that this wish could possibly come true. 

When it does, however, Kenji is at a loss. His identity is now Warden, the cooler, more awesome vision of what he wanted his life to be. Yet something feels wrong. He can't shake off what it is, but it drives him away from his desires - and to work under more shadier premises. 

One near-death experience later, Kenji comes out of a much more deadly, actually could have died version of DRcade with his head held high. With the bonds that he made along the way, he realizes that maybe he doesn't have to seek out the AI that change his form - and instead, decides to embrace both aspects of himself. 

Now, Kenji finds purpose in helping a certain organization thwart the plans of other possible threats both in and outside of cities such as Mazehart. It sometimes gets him into jobs that are a little bit shady, but with others at his side, he doesn't seem to mind as much as he should. 

Other Info:

• Kenji will sometimes dress up formally as Warden if the situation calls for it. He tends to take on the more relaxed, gentle persona that his Avatar generally had.
• He likes things cute, and being cute, though he's extremely prickly about revealing that facet of himself. 
• His favorite type of person is 'the sort who doesn't take everything too seriously'.
