Ahri's Links
Growing up, Dalton idolized Eli and saw him as a father figure. He aspired to become much like Eli; high ranking, intelligent, and charming. As a young adult, his attitude remained much the same. He tried (and failed, mostly) to act like Eli, and spent most of his free time being tutored by him.
When Dalton learned the truth about the Empire and First Order and became Ahri, he became genuinely terrified of Eli and shut himself away. Even the thought of Eli and how he once idolized him makes Ahri sick. Even then, he can't bring himself to hate Eli.
*between intervals of crying* "Baby-baby boy. The world has been far too harsh to you."
Love, pure - unadulterated love. Eli's love for Dalton was all encompassing and ever growing, as he took on a parental figure to the young man soon after his was born. Due primarily to the death of Kida his mother, and Callen's lapse into a period of illness post the battle on Endor. He views Dalton as his son and raised him as such - although the engineer likely did not intend for him to be so uptight when around others.
When it was thought that Dalton died in a military excursion in the Outer Rim, Eli was absolutely devastated and fell into a period of depressive rage that could argue to be psychotic, although with the First Order's warped way of being and enabling his rage as being valid, it could is debated. With the assistance of General Hue amongst other leaders, he helped organize the destruction of the ___ System, starting the Second Galatic Civil War. When soon afterwards Starkiller Base fell, and he was captured by Resistance troops and set to be executed - Eli thought he truly had lost his mind when a familiar face (yet slightly more beardy) appeared to help him escape. Dalton - now going by Ahri, helped him to a secure medical facility and the pair would remain in quiet contact throughout the rest of the conflict.
After Kealus was publicly executed by Kylo Ren, when the Sith sought to purge the ranks of those he thought to be "weak", he would rejoin the crew of the Silver Fish. He continues to urge Ahri that there is good in those like General Hux, and helps organize a way for others to gain a new life that he had to fight far too hard to achieve. Still adores Ahri like a son, even if the younger man is sometimes uncertain about their relationship or the galaxy as a whole - something Eli tries to console with the reminder that there is good in all.
As a child, Dalton wasn't particularly close to Fedony. He did hear Cyrus talk a lot about her, though.
After running away from the Order, Ahri has run into her a few times while she was in the Outer Rim. He finds her whole situation really...interesting to say the least. Honestly, he's just happy to have someone to talk to and share a few drinks with. As long she doesn't recognize him...
Fedony often loses track of who lives and who dies under the First Order. It's like a revolving door, and since it's not her job to keep track, she often avoids having to think about it. But that Ahri guy she occasionally runs into on her undercover Outer Rim smuggling outings seems /mighty familiar./ Guess doppelgangers truly do exist!
