Lucas

Lucas is a short, slim boy with round, child-like features. He has big, brown eyes and a shaggy head of brown hair. He wears jackets all times of the year and baggy jeans with sneakers.

Lucas is a softspoken, gentle soul. He has a hard time speaking up for himself and soesn't like upsetting people. He's socially awkward and conversation in general makes him anxious, especially with adults. He's skittish and introverted with a love of being isolated. When Mammon is present, he's loud and violent and loves to destroy things. When Mammon fully takes over, he's a being of rage and destruction and he seeks blood.

Lucas was born on October 27th to his father, a priest and modern-day exorcist, and his mother. From the day he was born, Lucas was subjected to a cultish practice of Christianity, being homeschooled and read Bible stories and tales of demons and angels. He was forced to witness his father performing exorcisms when he held them in his house, and he was forcibly taught how to exorcise demons. This gave him a chronic fear of screaming and violence that was often exhibited by those being exorcised.

When Lucas was 10, his mother left the family, and his father became abusive towards his son, telling Lucas that he would never accomplish anything in his life. When Lucas would resist reading scripture or books on the perils of other religions, his father would lock him in his room for days on end. Lucas grew up with very little social interaction outside of his father.

When Lucas was 14, he developed a hallucination during his isolative punishment. He believed it was the biblical demon Mammon, and thus that is what he called it. Lucas was too scared to tell his father about Mammon, but it became impossible to hide as Mammon would whisper constantly to Lucas to do terrible things, which he sometimes did. His father attempted to cast out the "demon," but Mammon told Lucas to stab his father in the process, which he almost managed to do, after which his father sent Lucas to a boarding school to try and correct his behavior.

Lucas still suffers at the hands of Mammon along with his other undiagnosed mental illnesses and lives in fear and in question of the god he was forced to worship. He doesn't know what he'll do with his life, but he wants a future where he is completely alone, without Mammon or anyone else.
