Yuzu has sharp features and a feminine face with long bangs that cover his golden eyes. Despite his sort-of resting bitch face, he has a cute habit of tucking his hair behind his ear when he feels awkward. He is sweet and sour like lemon cake :3c

Yuzu is a Vtuber who goes by the name "Yuzunya" on MewTube. He mostly posts ASMR, reading videos, and very occasionally, fashion design. He streams more ASMR, reading, gameplay, and general talking. He is popular for his calm voice and voice acting talent.

Yuzunyan Persona

As a Vtuber, Yuzu is best known for his ASMR reading videos. His most popular video is his sensual reading of a popular fanfiction called 69 Shades of Fur (lol). He's naturally talented at voice acting, which helps him keep up his Yuzunyan persona. He's not good at controlling his facial expressions, so physical acting is difficult for him, despite how much he likes theatre. For his 500k subscriber milestone, he did a face reveal in a nun outfit which was voted on by his subscribers, beating out nurse (#2) and fried karaage costume (#3). His nun outfit became his trademark image tied to his persona. 

After uploading a few dramatic readings that he did for class to MewTube in the summer before his freshman year, Yuzunyan gained traction and started Vtubing. The validation he got from his ASMR reading and for his voice led him to continue uploading and become better at exuding a confident persona. He eventually moved into streaming and does collabs with other Vtubers. 

His personality as a Vtuber is more vocal and sensual than his real life self. He finds it easier to talk into a mic when he's alone in his room and doesn't have to look people in the eyes. Yuzu treats his persona as a character that he is voice acting, and in a way he detaches it from himself. To him, Yuzunyan is coy, confident, interesting, and loveable. He teases others and enjoys their reactions to his attention. 

Yuzu believes his relationship with his fans is the one thing he is good for, so he works immensely hard to provide them good content. He's very dedicated to his job, and always says he's doing it for the money, but he really cares about his fans too. He's addicted to the attention he gets from the internet and his subscribers, which he substitutes for the lack of attention from his parents and peers in real life.

Yuzunyan has an OnlyNyans, which he uses as a supplementary revenue stream. He's quite practical about his career and because Yuzu derives self-worth from his fans, he wants to please them by giving them what they ask for. Some of his unlock-able content include custom private voice clips and matching photos. He will sometimes auction off 1 on 1 voice call sessions with his fans. A fair amount of his fans request bdsm-type readings or Dominatrix play because of the nun outfit which he caters to unintentionally well ^Q^;; He doesn't understand it himself, but some of this fans really seem to enjoy being verbally degraded by him. The other majority of his fans are there for his comforting talks and the way he makes them feel special and important (how ironic).

To Yuzu, his online persona is vasty different than his real self and he isn't actually a sadist, but sometimes he wonders if he prefers being Yuzunyan. In reality, Yuzunyan and Yuzu share similarities, such as being on the passive side, considerate of others, and hardworking. To his fans, Yuzu says he doesn't care, but his fans know he's kind of tsundere and often gives into what they ask for. Most of them care about his well being and ask him to take care of himself. He reads the feeds too often, and is heavily invested in his online presence and public perception (which isn't a good thing).

Education 

Yuzu is a college student with a major in Film & Cinema and a minor in Fashion. He was originally aiming to be a screenplay writer or creative director, but then he got into Vtubing thanks to his voice talent. He is considering voice acting as a permanent career after Vtubing, but he doesn't know how the future will play out because of the somewhat sensual nature of his online reputation. He's done a couple of small voice acting jobs already. He took fashion classes because of his interest in costume making for his major. He likes watching movies and is interested in actors for their ability to express themselves. He also likes the power of clothing to change a person's place and how they are treated. His love of film can be attributed to his desire to be a different person. He gets swept up easily in the emotions of theatre. 

At school, the majority of his peers don't know he's a Vtuber, unless they somehow spoke long enough to him to recognize his voice or heard him speaking in class, which is rare as well. He keeps to himself and doesn't have many friends due to his reserved and unapproachable exterior. His classmates think that he's well mannered, dependable, and admirable for always getting top grades, but hard to befriend. He has a minor rep for being that one cold beautiful junior just based on his looks. Strangers who were charismatic enough to approach him are usually met with curt responses because Yuzu is awkward about interacting with people he doesn't know. He's cautious about their intentions and what they expect from him. 

The friends he has are kits who were persistent about interacting with him, and didn't let his quiet personality turn them away. Yuzu is not actually overtly unfriendly or cold, he is just kind of quiet and awkward in real life. Friends who know him beyond his exterior say he's a gentle and considerate person, but he's still rather quiet and private.

Family

Yuzu is the only child from an upper-middle class family. He was born after a very long period of wanting, to a couple who prayed desperately for a baby girl. So when Yuzu was born, their disappointments carried over in the first year of his life. As he grew up, he came to realize this fact based on what family friends have said and other small cues, like feminine childhood items he grew up with and his feminine name. His parents love him regardless and didn't want him to grow up with the pressure of what they had imagined their lives would be, so they never said anything and did their best to let Yuzu decide his own life. They are aware of their own flaws as parents and feel like despite their own short comings, their child grew up to be a proper person. 

His mother suffers from general anxiety disorder and panic attacks, especially when Yuzu was young, so he grew up supporting her. He found that whispering comforting words to his mom helped her overcome her symptoms during these attacks. Watching his mother become overwhelmed and stressed by his father or by other things in their lives, he'd wonder why she never felt these same intense emotions about him. She never got frantic or concerned over him in the same way, so this led an unshakeable feeling that his mom didn't care about him.

Yuzu has a deep-rooted inferiority complex. He feels like he isn't good enough, but a lot of these thoughts are his own distorted conclusions. He doesn't smile much, even as a child, which his parents noticed. They initially tried to help him make friends and encourage him to be more social by using other outgoing classmate or family friends' sprinkits children as examples, but these comparisons only exaggerated his isolation and feeling of not being able to meet expectations. Eventually, they accepted that Yuzu's mature personality was just the way he was, and as long as he was happy, that was enough. They became more hands-off after that, to give him space to grow into his own.

He eventually moved out for college, and began sending money home to his parents after he made a steady income from Vtubing. He's a good child and seeks their approval for his life, but nothing ever seems to make them care...

Self

Initially, Yuzu doesn't have much of an understanding of himself, his self identity is based on his perceived inability to fit the expectations of the people around him so he isolates himself. He especially has trouble with charismatic people who seem perfect, and wishes he had a more social and outgoing personality. He finds it difficult to speak to people in real life and has a much easier time making friends online. Yuzu is hyperaware of his own flaws and self esteem issues. He knows he shouldn't derive his own self worth from his parent's approval, and he is stuck trying to find other paths to happiness. He doesn't know how his peers see him, and tends to assume that he's an outcast.  

Yuzu's proper behaviour and mannerisms are due to his desire to be the perfect child. He always tries to say the right things and will unconsciously say what he believes the other person wants to hear. He eats well, albeit simply, and exercises regularly so as not to worry anyone with his habits.

Magic

Yuzu actually has voice magic, which has emotional effects on listeners. He's not aware of it. It is why his mother never worries about him and why he was able to calm her down with his words during her panic attacks. Speaking words enhances the feelings behind what he says, which is often calmness and comfort, but can sometimes lead to excitement or joy. He is popular as a voice actor also in part due to his magic.

Relationships

Suika - Friend & Classmate. They met in their shared fashion class. Yuzu was early to class and sketching a design for his vtuber persona. Suika approached him and complimented him and sketched an accessory inspired by Yuzu's design, but this caused Yuzu to scrap the work instead. Suika dug the sketch out of the trash and came back the next class with the accessory and gifted it to Yuzu. This is his Lemon Hairclip. Suica sits next to Yuzu and chats up a storm while Yuzu usually just listens and responds occasionally. They get along well as friends now despite how they initially began.

Ichigo - Casual FWB. 

Kisumi - Secret Simp / Doctor-Patient. Yuzu's doctor is Kisumi. He secretly recognizes Yuzu's vtuber voice and knows his identity. 

Kanbi - Friend. Yuzu and Kan met when Yuzu signed up for clinical trials at Kan's clinic for depression drugs. As part of the tests, Kan suggested exposing Yuzu to different environments to supplement the effects of the drugs. They eventually get close after spending a lot of time doing more activities together. Kan taught Yuzu how to grow plants and bake pies, both of which Yuzu is only OK at. Kan is the only person that Yuzu feels normal sharing his feelings with, which began as part of answering questions during the clinical trials. In Chat & Chill stream #6, Yuzu talks vaguely about Kan as someone important to him and his subscribers start discourse over who this person is to Yuzu, with many insisting that they're dating, but Yuzu has stated they are purely good friends. Yuzu has mixed feelings and isn't actually sure how he feels about Kan after hearing his chat's advice though.
