Lacrimosa spent the ages of thirteen through seventeen working as Pure Tear, a magical girl protecting New Bao City from dark forces with the help of her class mate, Mimi, and another girl who went to their school. Although Mimi was a year older than her in school, both of them worked together closely, and Lacrimosa did her best. However, before they retired, an event too terrible to name happened. Lacrimosa and Mimi lost their teammate, a name they now no longer dare to speak. The two were driven apart by grief, and Lacey took it hardest of all. She became quiet and withdrawn, and her parents eventually moved her to a private school out of concern.
