Wail grew up in a large family full of other, louder bao. He was often overlooked as the second youngest, most introverted bao, and is a bit of a push-over because of this. He didn't make many friends in school, and took up a job at the local ice cream shop in his neighborhood, which is how he met Hallow. The regular customer of his actually got to know him and seemed oh-so interested in everything he had to say, and it made Wail all too excited for him to come visit. When he admitted to Hallow that he wasn't too fond of his job and Hallow suggested he come work with him at Vanity bao, Wail jumped at the chance! And he does enjoy the work of setting up seemingly pointless traps and other busywork that Sanguine gives him and Hallow... he just wishes his boss was a little less mean.

Sanguine ( Boss )
Wail is unsure about Sanguine-- he's rude and dismissive of others, and Wail doesn't fully trust him... however, he's also excited to feel important and be working with his friend, so he puts up with Sanguine with a watchful eye.
Hallow ( Co-worker )
Wail loves the amnesiac bao more than anyone else, and might even have a tiny crush on him. Not only is Hallow still naieve about many things and happy to hear Wail's explanations and stories, but he seems to really care about the cry-baby too, and always has a hanky for him.
Lacrimosa ( Aquaintance )
Wail met Lacrimosa at his favorite pen store, and was surprised when she struck up a conversation with him-- only for the clumsy bao to spill ink all over him and start crying. While they caused a scene, neither of them minded the other's company at all.
