iphis is the stargazer's archivist. she keeps the records safe: captain's logs, cadence's records of treasure allocation, maps, and other things of this nature. also she likes to collect rare books and she's not going to pay for them. she's not easily impressed either. she's seen a lot of things in her time, and few things manage to surprise her any more.

she may not seem like it, but iphis loves to tell stories. it takes a bit of coaxing, but once she's got a rhythm started her stories are absolutely magical! she likes to add songs to them as well, when appropriate. iphis can play a variety of musical instruments, and she's always up for learning another!

unfortunately, iphis is not as close with the rest of the crew as she'd like to be. she pulls her weight, of course, she's just a bit more solitary than the rest of them. she's particularly close with cadence: the two of them were travelling together for quite a while before getting involved with the stargazer.
