Personality:
Very matter-of-fact, takes his work seriously. Though he can be a bit abrasive he's known for his competence as a guard and has a respected reputation within New Avalon. He's not a direct servant of the gods, but has a healthy respect for them.

Backstory:
Leaving his family and quiet village behind as soon as he came of age, Bran's spent almost a decade working as a guard in the city of New Avalon; he's formed a regular working relationship with clerics of Siarus, the Cycle god. Several years in, he was contracted to find a missing acolyte-priest who'd never showed up at their intended destination in a nearby shard. In the process he came across a necromantic ritual being preformed in an old graveyard; the rite disturbed the place's helhest guardian,  who Bran ended up allying with in order to put an end to things. In the process he ended up bonded with the helhest, and they've since made a strange but comfortable partnership.
