Wha...? Are you lookin' at me..? O-oh...

 Ichiro had been hailed as a dependable, big fellow who could defend the 'little people'-- even when he was young, he had grown so large that outsiders of his sleepy hometown would defer to him as a guardsman if he approached!

Nowadays, outside of the town he had known his whole life, he's usually taken on as hired help, but he doesn't like it... Not that he'd say as much, but he thinks it constantly when getting his gloves dirty (with blood and foul grit). He has a desire to be good and make others proud, and of course these things conflict with what others demand of him (i.e. killing/pillaging for a price). He needs coin to live, and figures this is the best money he can make given his skills-- as such, it is clear that Ichiro might be tough and strong, but he is not smart or clever. He needs guidance for the simplest of things, but once he's got it started, he'll follow through to the bloody end.

Overall, Ichiro is more used to being a 'work-horse' rather than being treated as an individual, and through his life he has grown accustomed to taking up space, but not much else. His face is usually set with an impassive frown (though he may be jubilant inside, it doesn't show well at all), posture awkward as he stands stalwart, expecting to be given tasks to complete for his pay at any moment.
He has little need himself to speak his mind, and is quite shy even when given room and time to let out his thoughts or opinions. To be given genuine attention is a cause to clam up, for him!
