Maddie is an overly creative public high school student who has always had an interest in singing/songwriting and costume design. She's only really out to her friends, but she finds solace in the fact that soon, hopefully, she'll be able to be herself in front of everyone. Maddie doesn't exactly know any other trans people but her two best friends are more than enough to keep her going. After ACIDATA (her favorite band) was offically inducted into the Rock 'N Roll hall of fame 18 years to the date of the crash that killed them there was buzz around the school, and soon enough word got around that they went to the very same high school as Frankie, KT, and Luka.

Once she'd heard about this news, Maddie and her two friends silently met up at their secret fort out in the woods of Clyde's backyard with Mo's boombox, batteries, and every album ACIDATA had ever released. For a while this was all they would do after school, just silently mourning the death of their favorite band while also congratulating them on their induction. That is until Maddie had the bright idea to do a tribute performance for a school talent show. Despite the mixed reviews from school staff they kept on with the project and eventually teamed up with a music duo called Kitten Kaboodle from a nearby school, made up of boyfriend and girlfriend Kit and Willow to play shows. While KK's music was definitely just electronic and nothing like the hard punk rock of ACIDATA, they had enough of a following to boost Maddie's tribute band up quite a bit. Six months had elapsed before the fateful day of their last show in the human world. both BG and KK were opening for a basement show, and while Willow was helping Clive find the bathroom they stumbled upon a smelly closet with what seemed to to be a portal... to where?

they'd soon find out once all of them had gathered in the closet and peeked their heads out to a world paralelling their own. similar in most ways, except they'd gotten a bit too comfortable and were eventually greeted by a 6'7 hot pink zombie girl who was VERY obviously not wearing makeup. She was nice, sure, but where the HELL were they?
