Ilriel
Before his current life outside of the Circle, Ilriel used to be an Enchanter in the Circle of Jainen. He considered it a blessing and didn't have plans to ever really get out and live outside.
That was until after Fifth Blight, Kinloch Hold’s Circle Tower needed aid in rebuilding. Ilriel volunteered with few other mages to help and were to be sent there under the watchful eyes of Templars.
Unexpectedly, a storm fell over the ship as they were voyaging over the channel between Jainen and mainland of Ferelden, causing the ship and all passengers to shipwreck.
Managing to survive and beach near Kirkwall, he was noticed unconcious by a traveling merchant and taken on the cart few days before meeting the group who'd in the future he'd know as his friends and with whom he'd travel for the unforeseen time.
Unfortunately, with no knowledge whether anyone else survived, Ilriel was forced to venture out while carrying grief over the people he knew on the ship.

Personality
Doesn’t consider himself an apostate, but lost Circle mage, though would be understanding if someone else considers him as such.
Is actually very daring and bold at times despite his more neutral demeanor, but prefers to stay neutral in public, as he doesn’t like any commotion.
Caring and friendly but won’t hesitate to wrestle those he cares about if they decide to be difficult (rare occurrence, would require a lot to make happen. Easiest done if someone in serious need of healing would refuse it.)
Notes
- In love with a Templar called Thomas.
- Aequitarian, leans a little bit to libertarian fraternity.
- Specializes in creation magic, used to teach it to apprentices in his Circle.
- His Circle robes used to be tailored so that the shoulder cape has pointier shoulderpoints.
- Ran away from home and surrendered himself to Templars when he was aged 9, he was sick of his parents hiding him “out of love” but being scared of him at the same time as over time it evolved into mental and physical abuse.
- The Templars who took him in were very generous and gave Ilriel a good image of them from the start. Thus he has felt more safe when there's a Templar around.
- Does not let them walk over him or anyone else though, but is taken aback if meeting Templars with aggressive personalities.
- Has a pet snow leopard called Snuu.

Ilriel got to know Thomas when he was just a Templar-Recruit as he had just arrived to the Circle and trying to find his way around the building.
Seeing that Thomas was more open than most Templars, he took his shot and decided to get to know him better. This bubbled into friendship and eventually years later, into a secret relationship between the two.
Vera
[ Best Friend ]
Chaotic big sister figure to Ilriel.
Not stranger to playing tricks on others, it was in fact the way Vera and Ilriel got to know each other when they were both teenagers. As Ilriel was more quiet type, Vera decided to show him how to have fun.
In time Ilriel learned from her to open up more.
