Physical Description

Thin athletic build, pink eyes, pale skin, hair is pink and STRAIGHT (despite reference), black, and                                  has white lines (his original hair color is black). He likes a dash of neon on dark colors. The last few years,                he's lost interest in styling his appearance so extravagantly. He keeps it simple. A little color never killed                    anyone. He doesn't have the energy to do much more than that. People generally see him for the first time                 and assume he's some street rat punk. He is. But he's nicer than that.

Mental + Emotional

Hearing his real name being said is still jarring. He's had to fight to survive from a young age. It's hard not to be a little jaded, but he remains a pretty friendly person.
He deals with a lot but does it quietly.

Speech

No particular accent. Used to have a speech impediment. He is known to slip back into a stutter if under the influence.

Abilities

Expert marksman, excellent critical thinking skills, and very physically agile. He prefers to stay at a good distance from the fight, but is more than capable of defending himself in close quarters. He also possesses a photographic memory and a unique biotic ability that allows him to connect to anyone else with biotics. However, this is a dangerous game. It can easily be used against him so he usually doesn't tell people about it.

Relationships

Kolyat Krios- great friend; he thinks of his young friend more like a little brother and exhausts himself trying to keep him out of trouble.
Crux Grormo - great friend; the two have been through a lot together. However, he still ends up being a caretaker for Crux a lot of the time because he has a history of being hotheaded and reckless.
Kaiden Alenko - best friend; the two get along extraordinarily well. At least they did. It's been a long time.

History

Drako was born Sawyer Drake to a single mother on a research satellite station. He doesn't remember much of it because he was put up for adoption at the age of six and then went through the care system until he was around 14, when he ran away. He fell in with some other young teens who helped each other get by under the nose of galactic law. He lost contact with those teens on Omega and never saw them again. He would go on to get involved in a myriad of crimes just to stay alive, witnessing some downright atrocities for a piece of bread. Eventually, he would meet a Turian man named Gamus, who would take care of him and teach him how to shoot, fight, and utilize his natural abilities; they installed biotics on each other years down the line. Although they were close in age, Gamus had been through much more and showed Drako without hesitation how evil and cruel people could be. At a safe distance, of course. They did a lot of mercenary work together. No questions asked.
Before the two could make off with a hit that would reward them an easy life, Gamus was killed, and another merc took it out from under them. Drako was shaken into questioning the morality of what he was doing. Gamus was a brother to him and now he was dead. He would never un-see the visceral that decorated the hallway of the grimy motel his body laid in. His final resting place was a smoky yellow carpet under buzzing lights.  The first and last person he thought he'd ever care about. A couple years later, Drako had been doing his work with an added flare. He would only kill people he didn't think were good people. That way he could get paid and still feel like he wasn't killing anyone's Gamus. While doing a background check (personally stalking his victim), he would run into a Krogan who planned on confronting his would-be victim for a likewise crime against humanity. After agreeing to split the money and kill the man, CruxGrormo became very agreeable. Instead of going their separate ways when the job was done, Crux argued that they could work together for awhile. Drako disagreed and tried to leave but Crux showed up everywhere he went.
Drako relented eventually. Crux talked alot. He was confident, loud and full of opinions; he was surprisingly positive and most of all, gave Drako the kind of laughter he hadn't previously had. Reluctantly, the two became very good friends and rarely left each other's side for anything. Crux introduced Drako to Kolyat, who was attending university at the time. Crux and Kolyat met after Crux gave one of Kolyat's teachers a mortifying head injury (it was deserved). They've been friends ever since and it wasn't long before Drako would find himself saving Kolyat from an assassination. He had a reputation about him. It mostly belonged to his father. Drako did not find this as amusing as Crux did. So he stuck around and found himself another friend, and many long nights at a university dorm. There are a lot of unmentionable atrocities between here and there.

Beliefs

Despite everything, people continue to show Drako that people are not all horrible. However, the good people in his life continue to worry him. It's hard to live well knowing that they're in danger because of the life they all lead. Things end just as quickly as they start. There is no mercy, there is no heaven or hell. There is just what the moment offers. He tries to live positively off of that.
Lately, it hasn't been working.

Loyalty Mission

If you want to recruit Drako, he will appear briefly on the Citadel after his private conversation with Kaiden Alenko. He can be seen leaning in the background of a rich nightclub. He looks different and far more serious than last you saw him but he greets you warmly. If you have Thane in your party, he is more open about where he's been. If you have anyone else, he seems reserved but pleasant and gives you short answers. You can outright ask him to join your party but he will refuse and say he can't. He has someone he has to assassinate. You can speed-run this by killing the man for him and he will join your party but he will not approve. If you leave it up to him, he will not join your party. You can choose to go with him but this has consequences later. He joins your party.
If Kaiden was not allowed to speak to Drako, he can be found on the balcony of the nightclub on the 11th floor but you have limited dialogue options. He will later be seen again in Vigil Space, chasing down a ship. You barely recognize him. He wears no colors but grey and is so heavily modded, even his voice is not the same. He greets you warmly.

Trivia

Gamus had biotics unlike anything you can find on the common market; he was a bit of a technical genius. Drako wasn't, however, he could perfectly remember all the steps Gamus taught him, and was able to intall some incredible experimental biotics. These biotics are coveted and rare. They don't always work as intended and propose a lot of issues on their own. With Gamus' death, Drako is one of the only ones left who can install or fix the unstable equipment. Additionally, Gamus' body was scavenged for the equipment; it was damaged and unusable to the thieves. This greatly irritated Drako and he hunted down all three of the thieves and killed them.
The name Drako came from a combination of the word Draco (the weapon he used commonly for years) and his last name, Drake

"Let us live, since we must die."
