River is a water elemental and a river guardian just like Ell, except he protects Toko river, which surrounds Toko forest, the forest Ell is a guardian of. He is covered in tattoos that were done by Ignite, the fire elemental south of Toko forest who inhabits a volcano. Ignite has a thing for River but River is oblivious to it and jus sees Ignite as friend who's a little more on the moody side. He doens't take his hard exterior to offense and is very patient with him, even when he goes on a raging rant about things going wrong around his village.

River spends most of his time hanging out with Ell, gardening or playing around in the forest with her, when he is not spending time with her, he is helping out around nearby villages near Toko forest. He is always out to help others, even huamans despite the pollution manay have done to his other waters protected by river, lake and ocean guardians. Like Ell, he believes humans can change for the better with paitence, understanding and persistence without violence.
