Rivo lived a sheltered life in a small community of cottony. He had personally never interacted with any humans so he knew very little about their lifestyle. Knowledge he gained about the outside world came from the stories his siblings would share. He had quite a number of doting older sisters and female cousins who would tease him every chance they got. It was common for these same family members to attempt to set Rivo up with cottonies from other communities- which embarrassed him to no end. As the years went by, he found it increasingly difficult to speak up because others would do the talking for him. As a result, he never truly found his ‘voice’.

A Taste of Winter

Even though the cold is an unfavorable environment for a cottony, Rivo had long wished to behold the beauty of winter. Upon overhearing his relatives discussing a festival called the ‘Crystal Light Fest’, in which magic protected all who attended from the wintry weather, Rivo knew this was his grand opportunity to make his dream a reality. With that in mind, the cottony ventured off in search of the magical place called ‘Dandelion Road’.

A Touch of Spring

Upon Rivo's arrival in Dandelion Road, the festival was in full swing! The newcomer got to experience the wonders of winter, with wide-eyed wonder. As the festivities neared their end, Rivo felt saddened by the fact that he would soon be returning home. To remind himself of the trip, he decided to buy a souvenir! While undecided on what to get, a cheery voice chimed in. It was that of a young woman, who's smile was kind and warm. In the days that followed, Rivo would continuously get into misunderstandings with her, but he did not know how to correct them. In the end, she unknowingly convinced him to postpone his return home. With the change of seasons, he wondered where spring would take him next.
