• Jan scars are all on his left side and are present on his face, arm and leg.
• Jan can channel and discharge electricity but rarely does so consciously as he's been told it can really hurt someone and he doesn't want that.

About Jan:

Jan is a big guy with an even bigger heart. He's not bright, at all, but that has never stopped him from having fun and loving those around him. He works at a bar that serves food as a waiter and stand-in bouncer if anyone gets rowdy and greatly enjoys his job. He is well aware that he's not as bright as a lot of folks around him and that has lead to him being happy being told what to do. Earlier in his life this caused him some trouble as he ended up following the wrong sort of folks, which in turn lead to those prominent scars of his. He's since become a much better judge of character and does his best to ignore and cut out anyone trying to take advantage of him.

He's also a regular at the local gym where he has developed something of a reputation, both for his intense work outs and for being a flirt. The former reputation is something he'd take pride in as he does push himself hard but the latter is anything but intentional. He just can't help but take an interest in those around him and combined with his overly friendly nature and his failure to properly understand personal space his actions can often come across in ways he never intended. These same behaviors occasionally bleed in to his work and customers may get the wrong idea but he's also been informed by his boss to try and respect personal space on more than one occasion and does keep a bit more distance while on the clock.

It was actually thanks to taking an interest in all new faces at the gym that he met Vee and ended up as part of the social circle surrounding her. She may have originally mistook his behavior as flirting, and tried to respond in kind, but after realizing what a pure-hearted idiot he was she couldn't help but take charge and make him a part of her friend group so she could look out for him. If not at the gym or working Jan is often seen hanging around with Vee or around her house if she's not around so he has become friends with Micah, Tala, and more recently, Kris.
