Ondine was born under almost impossible conditions. Her mother, a sugarfloss from Lambda sailed out to the sea for a day only to meet a handsome taffyfloss. Enamored by the taffy she would come back to the sea to see him almost every day, their relationship was amazing and he was the first man who truly captured her heart. it wasn't long until she fell pregnant. Things slowly went downhill for Ondine's mother after this. Her parents weren't happy about their daughter getting pregnant and ended up kicking her out of the house, she ended up couch hopping in order to keep a roof over her head. She kept going to her college classes but the pregnancy was getting rough and it was causing her to have to skip classes due to how badly the sickness was getting. Taking the boat rides weren't helping, but things got worse when the taffy she was seeing disappeared. Ondine's mother's mental health was slowly deteriorating more and more, and it all finally came to a head when Ondine was finally born. Ondine wasn't born at a hospital, she was born in a bathtub at a home her mother was staying at. it was a rough and stormy night. Her mother at her wits end, walked with the young kitten to the rocked shore, and stared into the water as the rain whipped around her.

Seeing nothing else left for her, she threw her kitten into the sea.

Ondine isn't quite sure of where she came from, she knows nothing of the mother who abandoned her or how she came to live in the Taffy village, she only ever went by what the people told her. A Nero found her and swam her to it's owner, the taffy noticing the kitten not having gills tried to feed oxygen back into her lungs while pulling any water in there back out, and thankfully it worked. For the first couple years of her life she depended heavily on the taffies to keep her breathing under the water, as well as being taught how to swim due to the fact 'she was a deformed little taffy' as well as being taught by several taffies how to keep herself breathing in the water.

She found her situation odd, but always just figured it was because of what the taffies told her, she was a taffyfloss who was abandoned by some heartless taffy who couldn't keep up with her needs. Despite her fondness of the ocean and the like, she would find herself sitting on the rocks that crept above the surface to relax when she needed to, the sun always felt nice on her fur. She would also sometimes swim to a large portion of land, it was a bit sheltered from the rest of the beach but she liked that, she did find the house like structure odd however.

This is where she met Hanale. To her credit, she didn't entirely understand or care about what he was, she's seen plenty of taffies so seeing tails on a floss wasn't completely new to her, although he was especially interesting to her, she's never seen a 'taffy' with colors like his, or a tail like that! She was interested in him for sure, but wasn't too interested in all his questions and would normally leave him after collecting her things from the beach.

Not even a week later, it turns out taffies from the capitol were going on land after finding another odd "no webbed taffy." Ondine, interested, finally went up to land for the final time.

Since joining the mainland of Lambda, she has been questioning everything in her life. Where did she come from? She realized she had wings much like the sugarfloss on the beach, but none of them were Rho, how did she come to the water like the way she did on that violent night? She'll never know, and maybe it's best for it to stay that way.
