A reaper who's intentionally horrible at their job. Arrives late when they have a set time/date for their target and often misses them. Sometimes they'll let their target live just for a little longer and incorrectly report their cases. Due to an incident during work, Vanitas became less interested in reaping the dead. Nowadays they hardly come in for work or talk to the other reapers. Vanitas spends most of their days sleeping or distracting themselves with whatever activities humans tend to do. The reapers who take notice of the change (including Vanitas's boss) are very worried about their state and though they try to help in their own ways, it doesn't do much. Vanitas tries to be a good sport knowing they have the best intentions, but right now all they want is to be alone and forget as much as they can.

Though Vanitas doesn't reap souls as much nowadays, they will always lend a hand to fellow reapers that are in need. Although once the job is done, Vanitas always tells other reapers to not let the higher-ups know that they had helped to avoid them. One of Vanitas's favorite pastime is playing video games.
