Lucette

Second time is the charm! Once a darkened pawn in an evil plot, her second life under the watchful eye of the Oathguard has been prosperous and blissful. Luce is a calm creature praised for her poise in public and exalted for her acerbic wit in private company. An instructor of young ladies in all things that are proper, it takes quite a bit to rile her. While she has no memories of her previous life, she has a nagging feeling that something from her past is not completely in the past.

History

 Bright and cheerful this time around, the Caprilya Lucette was once a pawn of the grand schemer Marcain. When love blinded her to his lies, she ignored the pleas of her eyes and fell further into his web. At the culmination of his plans, when he escaped and her Damur co-conspirator was imprisoned in the Ral'ec, Luce was offered a second chance. Rebirth and forget Marcain and her involvement in the tragedy or die at the hands of Vesion. Having no hands on involvement with the destruction, and considering how light of a sentence it was, she chose to rebirth. Gone were her memories, and her twisted love.
Keeping his promise, Vesion watched over her from that moment on, offering the young child to a foundling home with a substantial bribe set towards her schooling. She grew into a model pupil and eventually a teacher of those who came after her. Having nothing but positive influence on her growth this time she blossomed into a lovely young lady, while her eventual visits with Vesion turned her humor dry and helped her build a realistic view to balance her optimism.

Vesion| The once guardian of her second life, Luce considers Vesion her closest friend. She has mentored him as often as he has her, and while she knows there are many things he hides from her, she doesn't pry.

Yvette | Once a rescued Elusi Lucette thought to let Vesion handle, she has grown very close to the young girl and considers her family. Though their ages are not far apart in this life, she still feels motherly towards her sometimes.

Shah | One of the pirates who makes port in their city often, Luce took note of him out of concern for Evie at first but now delights in teasing him.

Issrael | The captain of the Regent and mostly a mystery, Luce worries for the strain in his eyes and the heaviness of each step he takes.

Marcain | Her first love, he charmed the vulnerable Capri in her first life and warped her to follow him blindly. The secrets she unearthed for him lead to the deaths of many.
