Bernette Ferreira Prata (Bernette/Philamena (Pokemon))

Iiiiiit’s Philamena!! Say my name!!!

A virtual character designed by acclaimed artist Artisanne and belonging to Bezel Co., Philamena is a beloved figure of Roddwell (situated above Circhester) and can be seen making appearances on TV programming and social media. She even has her own line of snack foods and household products! Wowza!

Philamena is involved in numerous different media projects, and has slight differences in personality and design depending on her use. Bezel Co. is very protective of her property and will go after anyone misusing her character with lawsuits. She is played by amateur voice actress Bernette, who seized the role eagerly in order to leave her life of dressing up in mascot costumes.

As a gym leader, she is outgoing and plays a lot on the hype aspect, constantly promoting her sponsors and her own product line. It’s all about getting your name out there after all! Her pokemon were raised with her constant presence surrounding them and interacting with her onscreen. They hope to meet her for real some day.

Her gym involves defeating trainers for a chance to take the wildest selfies they can using props and a limited amount of time in order to  garner as  many likes as possible, similar to the Poké Finder.

When the trainer makes it to her, she appears on the field… as a tennis machine with a screen with her visage. For her Gigantamax, it appears  as  though the machine is going to burst and malfunction, when it throws the giant pokeball upwards.

Jersey number 318 is a pun on “cyber” (sa i ba). Name is a pun on “filament.”
