Information

Name: Electro-Linear Adventure System
Called: Elias (Shortened name, and in homage to Walter Elias Disney)
Mileage: Neither C.J. or Elias can remember, the two both agreed to stop counting the mileage at around a billion miles. He DOES change the oil every six thousand miles though, and takes a month to overhaul the mechanical parts every October back at the Winter Quarters in Sarasota. (Winter Quarters doubles as C.J. and co's mailing address, so he also handles his mail and such there.)
Main Forms: Usually the Observation car, but sometimes as a caboose, at some points C.J. has Eli transform into a car (a 1932 Rat Rod Model A ford.), a Motorhome, a Boat, briefly as a suitcase (Elias finds it cramped, and hates that form with a passion.), a Romani Vardo for hiding out in times without motorized vehicles, and one time a Boeing 747 on a drunken dare with Gossamer.
Usual Looks: Black and Silver observation dome car on the train. Formerly a caboose. When attached to the train, Elias is actually running backwards.
Most Used Features: Interstellar travel, Time Travel, Artificial Intelligence, Living quarters, and definitely the hot tub.

Usual Interior - Main Level

Usual interior is set up in a few areas. Stairs lead up to the magic upstairs and to the downstairs. Note: If folks come in without C.J., Arell, Dorian, or Dun's permissions, all they would see is an empty passenger car.

Cockpit: Consisting of a mishmash of computers and controls, ranging from sci-fi technology to large levers not even C.J. knows what they do. A trapdoor and ladder leads down to the engine room of Elias
Bathroom: A smaller bathroom. Installed when the first bathroom wasn't very user friendly to find. (One universe, C.J. died looking for it in the maze of rooms. Before the dialing room system.)
Kitchen/Bar: C.J. keeps a well-stocked kitchen, pantry, and bar of foods ranging from Cajun, Tex-Mex, Italian, and Japanese foods (his earth faves) to intergalactic dishes, may have introduced Curry to a few ports of call in the universe. His bar is consistent of drinks from all over the galaxies. Ranging from his and Arell's Cajun homebrew whiskey to a drink known simply as the "Mind Melter." Apparently it tastes like cotton candy. If Cotton Candy included psychedelic hallucinations with and unconsciousness.
Living Area: This is where the couches, a TV, card table and the general living room area is. Also the location of Cirque du Sanguine's infamous Poker Nights, C.J.'s weekly game where friend and foe alike have been seen enjoying cards and drinks. His domino set is also here, where C.J. has been the running champ at dominos.
Hammocks: C.J.'s preferred sleeping area. While he HAS a bedroom somewhere. He prefers his hammock while on the move or even when he just needs a quick nap. Seeing how when they're rolling he'll drink a pot's worth of coffee a day...
Office Area: Where C.J. goes to look at the new hires, generally help do the bookings for the circus and occasionally his Rock and Roll band. A nice desk, a map of the world, all sorts. His time travel rulebook is keeping the desk level.
Stairs: Leading up and downstairs. Tends to surprise people. The stairs also contain the washer and dryer in a side cabinet
Teleport Room: Rarely used, the NSHU, C.J. and Misty set up a two-way teleportation system so C.J. and Misty could visit each other. C.J. disabled the teleporter after the breakup after a few NSHU agents kept coming aboard to pester him/didn't want to use it. He's repaired it after the Raizon incident, just never told anyone.
Closet: Holds a variety of items mostly needed for the main level or travel. In cases of emergenies, they can run to the closet to grab a gun or random item and run back out.
Extra: Here

Lower Levels

The downstairs rooms can sometimes be requested by a series of dial codes. Some of the rooms include...

Band Room: The guys' rehearsal space. Also doubles as a musical instrument museum for various friends the guys have met. Instruments such as George Harrison's "Rocky" Stratocaster, a piano signed by Leon Russell, Jerry Lee Lewis, Professor Longhair, Sunnyland Slim and Augie Meyers, a drum set, a bass guitar Dun' had, Clifton Chenier's accordion, and several more.
Sauna: Inspired by an ambassador trip C.J. and Edel went on to Finland, there's a sauna and a steam room. C.J. installed another TV so he could relax in the sauna and watch Baseball.
Bathrooms: Larger bathrooms.
Gym: Even time travelers have to stay in shape.
Pool/Hot Tub: A saltwater pool, a freshwater pool and a hot tub.
Medical Room: Sometimes, it's hard to get medical help out on the travel. This medical wing is where the guys make sure they're good
Spare Bedroom: For more ahem not exactly sleep. Installed after Dorian threatened to skin him alive after finding him and Quinn in a fairly compromising position.
Guest Rooms: Rooms of various sizes with simple beds and comforts. Used mostly if they need to transport more people than they planned. When not in use, some rooms are used as storage or collection rooms.

Upper Levels

The upper levels are mainly used for bedrooms and studies that would be off limits to guests for the most part.

Observation Deck: C.J.'s favorite place to catch a view. When it's in the caboose form, he can just walk out on the vestibule and sit on the roof of the train. Perfect for shooting off fireworks, smoking a joint or just getting some fresh air..
Merida's Study: Merida found a spare room and took it over for her voodoo studies. C.J. isn't just quite sure what he's going to do with this room after the divorce. "Her damn birds kept making a mess in here. She can't blame Radar for this!"
Andrew's Room: After C.J. adopted Andrew, he felt terrible about him moving around as much as he did, so to try and make up for it, he did his best to replicate Andrew's room almost EXACTLY as it was in Misty's apartment. The biggest difference being more durable furniture. (After all, they DO live on a train!).
Magitec Lab: C.J, and Edel's pet project to help better improve relations between the magic/metahuman community and "normal" humans. A good chunk of Elias is run off Magitech, and C.J. sometimes fiddles with things to make sure that things work normally and to maybe one day help show his findings with Dun' to better help out
Spare Bedroom: Technically C.J.'s main bedroom, he doesn't use it, preferring to sleep on the hammocks. So, instead he loans it to guests and friends who have to stay the night.
Kids Bedroom: Artemis and Billy Joe's shared bedroom and former nursery.

First Found

First by C.J. when he stumbled on the original parts from Blackstone Industries on a train bound for the scrap heap. The parts came together on their own and saved C.J.'s life from Desdemona. CC "accidentally" started everything. The parts and C.J. first parted ways when C.J. wound up hopping a different freight in Little Rock, Arkansas and accidentally hopped on a boxcar bound for Chicago where he would ultimately meet Gossamer for the first time. The parts itself, went on to Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, where due to a snafu in paperwork, the boxcar was dropped and abandoned on a siding. The railroad car they would later join in was parked next to the boxcar, a remnant of a streamlined train called the Mexicali Rose, a train that used to go from Miami to Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico via the Gulf Coast, crossing the border in Texas. The train ceased service with the formation of Amtrak, the train was split up, the observation car wound up in Louisiana. The rest is unknown.

Creation of Elias

Dun' was the first to find everything looking for C.J. and Arell, who were hiding out from some trouble they wound up in. Checking the boxcar first, he saw some strange pieces of equipment flashing lights when he accidentally bumped into a switch looking for his brothers. When he alerted his brothers to it later, the three went to inspect it further. The artificial intelligence side blipped out a message Arell was able to translate from Morse Code: Save Us. Scrapyard. They originally were going to try to move it to Arell's truck, but the weight of everything proved too much for the back of the truck. They decided to move everything to the railroad car ahead when they noticed the door had pretty much been rusted open due to age.

The parts tended to start to adapt to their new surroundings and tried to make itself more "at home" with the surroundings. Over time, the guys found out more about the equipment. Originally, Dun' put the finishing touches on everything to go back and rescue Nick from some life choices, but after Nick returned and more situations (breakup, Nick almost demolishing the boys' home in a drunken rage, etc.) he told C.J. to take over, so disgusted with the idea he almost used that machine for helping the mobster. When the cops caught up to their bootlegging and bank robbing streak later, C.J. took shelter in Elias and barely managed to escape from St. Agnes and the feds. C.J. would later agree to testify on Blackstone's behalf about the Breaux Bridge raids to keep it on Razolli in return for Blackstone helping clear the charges against them. After the cops arrested the Razolli family and essentially banished the mafia clan from operating in the gulf coast, the town of Breaux Bridge just let him have the train car. (They weren't using it anyway.)

Maintenance/Runs

Elias runs off Magitech, often fueled by equal parts raw magic and Ethanol. (C.J. and Arell keep a spare still to help keep Elias running. Half of the shine they make goes to fueling Elias.) Magitech comes from the parts getting a boost from Edel's magic later on. The magic part of the Magitech helps it maintain the spaces it needs, creates rooms at will, helps ensure it's able to accomplish the tasks at hand.

In turn, C.J. takes a month (every October, the month he originally ran into the parts. Elias reminded him.) to essentially take Elias and go through to repair what needs repairing, maintenance, the whole nine. The process takes him a month where he just returns to Florida, gets his tools and gets to work. Oil changes, turbine repair, the whole nine. Since the parts aren't exactly stuff he can get from Autozone, he sometimes has to adapt, hence why some of the parts Nova was appalled to find held together by duct tape, bailing wire, and sheer dumb luck. After the incident in Ciudad del Reyes and the Raizon incident, Nova, Kettle, Arell, and Del Toro helped C.J. give Elias a complete overhaul. Lawson provided the new car body under the table, feeling the NSHU was partially (mostly) responsible for Elias' destruction in the first place. Lawson considered it an olive branch when he found out that C.J. was still angry and nervous about NSHU ANYTHING after the Raizon incident, and between Lawson the NSHU's branch leader and Jeb the boys' father, Jeb won out and he purchased the new railroad car. Delivering it himself via some of C.J.'s friends on the railroad and his brother-in-law, "Uncle Curtis", who got it shipped as "part of a military operation" to circumvent Peters' prying eyes. They overhauled it at the Del Toro's private trainyard, which is why Lawson and Emily (who came down and helped, bonding with C.J. over their love of classic cars) are two of nine C.J. outright trusts from the agency.

The other seven being Arell, Dun', Nick, Chase, Nicole, Scarlet, and Dorian (Deputized when Lawson needed to find the boys in Mexico).

He DOES, however, go back and make up for any time lost when he finishes though, which is how he still is seen with the circus sometimes in October.
