Personality:
He's cocky, over-confident and straightforward, which can be good because he has no problems dealing with all sorts of people, but bad when it attracts attention from the wrong people. He's also jovial and easygoing, but can get competitive if in the right setting (sports, investigations). He has a kind heart and goes out of his way to do the right thing. He tends to put 100% into things and used to have a strong belief in upholding the law, but now believes in justice even if it means breaking a few rules.
Appearance/Demeanour:
He's a brunette, and keeps his hair short. He has a lean and muscular build, thanks to growing up doing sports and being fond of exercise. He loves jackets (usually can be seen with his blue jacket) and sneakers/sleek leather shoes. He usually wears brown trousers or corduroys, slightly tapered; doesn't wear jeans often. He's the kind of guy who's brimming with exuberance in the room, and people like talking to him. He's by no means the life of the party - he couldn't be bothered with popularity - but getting compliments does stroke his ego.
Abilities:
He has no special powers, but he has an uncanny eye for detail and is hyper-observant. He is well-versed in self-defense too, and can easily hold his own in a fight. He's also a crack-shot with a gun.
Back Story:
Graham has blue blood in his veins; his dad, his granddad, his brother and his uncle were all cops (at one point in time). He went into the police academy knowing what to expect and flourished on the force, accelerating through the ranks on a fast-track route. However, he lost his elder brother on a case and found himself starting to question things. His dad died of a heart attack six months after his elder brother got killed and his uncle left the force after that and became a sheriff in a small town. Disillusioned by the politics, hierarchy and corruption, and reeling from the loss in just a span of eight months, he left the force and joined his aunt (mom's sis) in her Private Detective agency. He has a younger bro, Caleb, in the military (special forces), who he sees whenever he comes back to the city. His mom and dad are long-separated (since he was eleven) and she lives in the next state with her new family. Graham and his mom are estranged.
Trivia:
✣ his closest friend is probably his old partner from the force, Romero; they stopped speaking for a while after Graham left, but renewed their friendship again a year after that, and Graham was his best man at his wedding.
✣ he's known he prefers men since he was a teen; only his elder brother knew but he came out after his brother died and his dad and him made peace; his younger brother already secretly knew because he caught Graham with a dude back when they were both teens, and Graham only finds this out later
✣ he is a foodie and especially loves Japanese and Polish food (his paternal grandparents are Polish immigrants); he likes scouring the city for good and affordable food places
✣ he's only had one serious relationship, back in college, but it didn't work out because they wanted different things and argued too much.

Interaction with Ambroise:
Ambroise treats him professionally when it comes to discussing cases/work, otherwise he's a tad shy and incredulous that graham is paying him so much attention. He's usually a little grouchy, but teases graham when in a good mood. They are versatile so either can take control of the situation depending on their moods haha (Graham probably tops 60% of the time though). Graham loves showering attention on him but avoids acting clingy or showing him vulerability, fearing he'll chase the blonde away (though his mouth spews out words without control sometimes).
